Major Time Skip
"Okay class be sure that the horses have food and water, then you may go home." I smiled watching as my students put away my schools horses. "Yes Ms. Yumi." They said. "Kat could you see if the horses all have enough hay until tonight? They don't always seem to put in enough or they put in too much." I asked her. "Sure thing. Oh Kit will be back soon so might wanna go to her barn and get Lapis's stall ready." She told me, going into one of the stalls. We all have our own barns so we could keep our horses separated. We also had a fourth barn for our work horses so things get complicated when it's feeding time. I heard a bark and looked over and saw Kovu riding on Sprinkles, one of my horses, and saw the families two dogs. Phantom, an Australian Shepherd, and Clover, a golden retriever. "I thought they needed to stretch their legs so I took them on a walk." Kovu said, getting off Sprinkles. "Well thanks. I've been busy with the class." I smiled. "You only work three days a week." He laughed. "I know." I smiled, kissing his cheek. "Be sure to put her back. I gotta get Lapis's stall ready for the night." I told him. "Wanna come with me Phantom?" I asked the dog. He barked and ran toward the fourth stable. I giggled, waved goodbye to Kovu and followed after the dog into the stable. Phantom was already sitting in front of Lapis's stall and I chuckled. I walked over and started to get rid of the old hay, replaced it, and put some food into the stall. Just as I finished Kit came riding in on the bay horse. "Hey Kit. I just finished cleaning the stall for you." I smiled at her. "Oh, thanks. Hey Phantom." She added to the dog who barked in response. "Okay, here." She laughed and gave him a treat. "I'm going to head back to the house Kit. I'll see you there." I said. "Make dinner while you're at it!" She called and I rolled my eyes.
~~~~~~~Time Skip, Night, Dream~~~~~~~
I was running, but I didn't know what I was running from. I kept running and soon came to a dead end. I gasped for breathe, turning around. Standing there was a black horse, but not a kind one. I heard the crackle of thunder and the horse reared and stomped its feet on the rock below. That's when I heard a laugh. "Just give up Yumi! Nightmare only listens to me and his orders are to capture you!" The voice said, though I could barley hear it over the thunder. Then I woke up.

"A nightmare.. It seemed so real." I mumbled, hugging my knees to my chest, thinking of the dream. I was blocking out all sound but what I did see was the bright flash and lightning and thunder. I squeaked, frightened and looked out my window to see it was pouring. "That explains that." I chuckled lightly. I looked at the clock and it read 2:12. "I still have hours to sleep." I mumbled, laying back down and found sleep was hard to come but soon was in a deep sleep.

I yawned, walking down the steps of the house and walked into the kitchen. "Morning guys." I said to Kit and Kat. "Morning." They both said. "Don't forget about us!" Three sets of voices said and I looked over to see Kovu, Hayato, and Hiroto stuffing their faces with pancakes. "Don't talk with your mouthful!" I scolded. They finished chewing and said sorry. "Give them a break Yumi. Boys will be boys." Kit chuckled, sitting beside Hiroto. "Anyways why are they all here?" I asked, patting the dogs heads before sitting down. "I asked them to come. I gotta take back Lapis and Cookie. I'm also getting a new horse too. According to the owner he tends to act wild so I need help getting him into the trailer." Kit explained. "Can't wait." I chuckled. "I'm going to take Cobble on a trail ride." I said, finishing up breakfast. "C'mon Clover. I want you to come with me." I added to the dog, who jumped up form where she was laying and ran after me. "When you're done get a stall ready for the new horse!" Kit called as I ran out.

I was sitting on Cobble, the only sound in the forest were her hooves and Clovers paws. "This feels like a day back at school.." I chuckled as we walked. "Right, days before she took my horse.." I mumbled, shaking from the thought. Water drops on my head took me out of my thoughts and I looked up at the sky, seeing the clouds had darkened and it started raining. "We'd better get back guys." I said and had Cobble go a bit faster back to the barn, hearing something fall to the ground behind me but I didn't look back.

I ran into the house after I finished fixing a stall for the new horse Kit was bringing. Just as I closed the door I heard a car pulling up. "Just in time Clover." I smiled, opening the door again, seeing a white truck pull up. It backed up so that it was lined with the barn to make it easier to get the horse out. "Welcome back guys!" I called as they got out of the car. "Great to be back. It took forever to get Nightmare, the horse, into the trailer." Kit said as I followed her to the back. "So where is his stall at?" She asked. "Beside Cookie and Cocoa." I informed, "Awesome. Acording to the owner he grew up with only Friesian breeds and mules." Kit said with a smile. "Hey why don't you talk to me little sugar horse." Someone said and hugged me from behind. "Ep! Kovu! Don't scare me like that!" I laughed. He set me down and kissed my cheek. "Hey, love birds, help us with the horse." Kat chuckled. "Coming!" We both said and helped them the wild like horse.
