Chapter 14

Rose's POV.

I kept dreaming about the phone call with my mom and how scared she sounded. I was extremely scared because I didn't know what happened afterwards. Henry told me I kept speaking in my sleep and that I was moving around a lot. I mean I wouldn't blame myself for doing that because I am paranoid and don't know what is happening right now at my house or even where my mom is. I surely am glad that I have Henry here to comfort me and just be there when I need him. He is a strong guy that's extremely overprotective and that's one reason I love him.

Henry's POV.

Charlotte texted me to meet up but I didn't want to leave Rose all alone. I asked her if she was fine with it and she was. I left my house and met Charlotte at the park. I totally forgot about the job with Ray so I took her to Junk'N'Stuff. We both went down the elevator to see Captain Man. I asked him if he still had a spot open for Charlotte and he did. He needed all the help he could get. Captain Man, made Char take a test she had to get a pickle out of a jar that was tightened by an extremely strong man.

"How long does she have?", I asked Captain Man.

"Exactly 5 minutes starting now.", he said.

Charlotte grabbed the jar and threw down on a table.

"Here's your pickle.", she said.

"So did she get the job.", I asked.

"Yeah yeah yeah.", Captain Man said.

Rose's POV.

I was at Henry's house all alone then his family came back from the appointment and I smiled.

"Where's Henry?", Piper asked.

"I think he went to work.", I said, my smile fading.

"Oh, he's always at work so I can't pick on him! OMG THIS IS NOT OKAY!", Piper said furiously.

I looked at her then started laughing then she joined in. I was starting to get worried but thought Henry's strong enough he'll be fine he's just with Charlotte or at work.

I decided to fall asleep on the couch because I got tired and then Mrs. Hart put a blanket on me and tucked me in saying, "Have a good rest."

Henry's POV.

Charlotte and I left the lair and walked home.

"Oh why did you want to meet up earlier ?", I asked.

"Ummm because I kinda lik-.", she said but didn't finish her sentence because she kissed my cheek.

"You know I have a girlfriend.", I said to her tensing up a bit.

"Yeah but I thought you would like to get closer with each other.", she said.

Look you're my friend and I'd like to keep it that way so I'll see you tomorrow at school.", I said and walked away.

I could tell I made Charlotte upset, but I only liked her as a friend. When I got home I saw that Rose was asleep on my couch. I picked her up and brought her to my bed. I laid down next to her and kissed her forehead. I started thinking of the whole day.

Charlotte's POV.

I made a plan to tear apart Roses and Henrys relationship. I had the best plan I could think of it was to lie to her about his feelings for her and do the same to Henry. I am smart enough to get myself out of any trouble. I didn't really feel bad because I wanted Henry and I was gonna get him whether he likes me or not. Henry was my friend first and I should've asked him before she moved here to L.A. I'm starting my plan at school first thing tomorrow I hope it works.
