Chapter 42

Rose's POV.

The most important promise was broken. I can't believe Henry lied to me. I'm just gonna say that he wasn't there for me when he said he would be. I didn't want to be anywhere near him so I left his room.

Piper barges into my room and yells, "what did Henry do?"

"He broke the most important promise to me.", I say with a sigh.

"I'm gonna kill him!!", She shouts and leaves my room.

I start crying a lot because everything that's been going on hasn't been so well. My grandmother died today and my mom decided she didn't care about me anymore, so she moved away. I thought that Henry would actually be there for me, but I was wrong. My life is just a big lie.

I hear Henry knock on my door and he opens it.

"Hey are you alright?", He asks.

"I could be better if my boyfriend actually cared and could keep promises.", I say.

"Rose I'm really sorry if I wasn't paying attention to you earlier, but that doesn't mean I wasn't thinking about you.", He says.

"Do you even know what's happened around here. My grandma died and my mom decided I wasn't good enough to be around and she left.", I say while starting to cry.

"I promise that I'll listen to y-", he says.

I interrupt by saying, "here we go with the promises. Henry if you didn't want to be with me in the first place then why did you ask me to be your girlfriend."

He smashed his lips onto mine and I quickly pushed away.

"Henry. I can't do this you can do better than me. I should've just kept on going when I was dead. You wouldn't have to put up with me anymore.", I say.

"Rose stop beating yourself up you know I'm here for you, but someday I'm not gonna be here and I want to spend everyday with you, so just forget about earlier and take this ring back.", he says.

"I don't know Henry.", I say.

"Please.", he says.

"Okay fine and I'm sorry that I took out my anger on you I just need to know you're gonna be here for me.", I say.

"Of course I'm gonna be here for you because I love you.", He says.

He places the ring on my finger and kisses my cheek, but I turn his head towards my lips and kiss him.
