Chapter 40

Rose's POV.

I open my eyes and I see Henry walking out, so I grab his hand and he turns around.

"Rose?", He asks.

I start coughing and then a whole bunch of nurses comes into my room.

"Oh sweetie we thought we lost you.", says one of the nurses.

I see them push Henry out of the room and they give me some kind of medicine. Then they prescribe me a prescription because I'm sick and that's how I got here in the first place.

Henry's parents and sister walk in with my mom.

"Honey are you okay, are you feeling alright do you need anything?", My mom asks.

"Since when did you care?", I ask.

The medicine that I took made me drowsy and I end up falling asleep.

Henry's POV.

When I walked back into her room Rose was sleeping and everyone was surrounding her while sitting in chairs. Even Piper was holding her hand and saying how much she felt like a sister to her.

My watch starts beeping. I don't want to leave Rose because she is really important to me.

I get up and go to a corner of the room. Then I answer him.

"Henry why aren't you here?", He asks.

"I'm not coming to work my situation is probably worse than yours.", I say.

"Oh really. You know what I'm just gonna go by myself.", He says and the hologram turns off.

I leave the corner and sit down in my chair and fall asleep.

Rose's POV.

I wake up to see everyone surrounding me and they were all sleeping. I turned my head to the spot where Henry was sitting.

"Psst Henry.", I say.

He immediately jumps and screams,
"Whoa, I'm up, I'm up."

I start laughing so hard it hurts.

"Oh hey babe. I hope your feeling better.", he says.

"I hope so too!", I say.

A nurse walks with a wheelchair.

"You're too weak, so you will need this to get around.", she says.

Henry takes the wheelchair from her and opens it. Then he helps me up out of the bed.

Everybody wakes up when I scream.
Henry and I start bursting out into laughter.

"They fell for it.", I say heaving in and out deep breaths.

I move my hand up to Henry's until I feel him grasp it.

"I missed you so much.", I say.

"It really hurt me when I thought I lost you.", he says.

He grabs my hands -because I asked him to- and helps me up. I lean in towards his face and give him a long passionate kiss.

"Eww. Get a room.", Piper says.

"Okay.", Henry and I say in unison.

I quickly sit in the wheelchair and Henry pushes me to the elevator to take me to the ground floor. We can hear our parents running behind us and ranting.

I can't help but laugh.
