Chapter 38

Rose's POV.

I woke up feeling light headed and sick. My face was flushed and I felt really hot.

"Henry.", I say as I shake him awake.

He instantaneously opens his eyes.

"Yeah babe.", he says in his morning voice.

"I don't feel so-.", before I could finish my sentence I fainted.

Henry's POV.

I immediately pulled Rose up to my chest and lifted up her body then ran down the stairs.

"Mom! Mom, where are you??", I shout as I run around the living room.

"Henry what is it?", She asks.

"It's Rose she feels really hot and before she could finish speaking to me she fainted. Mom I don't know what's going on.", I say.

"Calm down. Bring her to the car right now.", she says.

I lay her down in the back of our car and I sit in the back with her. She doesn't move and her breaths are slow.
My mom drives really fast, the hospital isn't that far away from our home. We pull up to the emergency area and get out of the car. I carry Rose bridal style and run into the ER.

"HEY!", I shout, "Can I get a nurse?"

"Sir I'm going to have to ask you what the problem is.", a nurse says.

My mom runs into the ER and starts yapping about what happened.

"Everyone we need a room and an air pump now.", Nurse Alice says.

I try to goto the room they take her to, but they said that family members could only go in there at the time.

About 7 hours later Rose's mom arrives and goes to visit her. She comes out crying.

"Does she look like she's getting better?", I ask.

"I don't know she doesn't look like herself.", she says.

Rose's POV.

I feel like I'm awake, but I realize I'm not.

"Hi Rose it's been awhile since I've seen you.", says this random voice in my head.

I tried to open my eyes but they wouldn't budge. I laid there and then I started to get a clear image of something. It looked like a very bright light.

"Rose.", someone in a male voice said again.

"Dad? Is that you?", I ask.

I start to walk closer and closer to the light.

Henry's POV.

I go into room number 211 and the monitor that measures heartbeats and heart rates starts to draw a straight line and beep.

I run over to her and squeeze her hand tightly.

"ROSE. Please don't leave me I don't know what I would do without you. I need you. Please. I love you.", I say while sobbing.

I kiss her on the forehead before the nurses and doctors kick me out.

"Was I really going to lose the love of my life?", I kept asking myself.
