Chapter 47

Henry's POV.

I woke up in a dark room and my legs and hands were tied to a chair. Every time I moved my hands I could feel something behind me.

"Rose is that you?", I whisper.

"Yeah.", she whispers back.

I grab her hand and I remember that she has her promise ring on.

"Do you think you can cut through the ropes with your ring?", I ask.

"Yeah but I don't want to ruin it because it's really special to me.", she says.

"Okay so what should we do?", I ask.

"I don't know.", she says.

She starts to tip her chair back and forth which causes mine to fall on the ground and it breaks. The ropes are really loose, so I can get out of them. When I'm out I grab a screw from the chair and start picking at the ropes tied around Rose.

When it rips I start to untangle it, but then Jasper opens the door.

"I know exactly who you are!", He says and then shouts, "HENRY!"

Rose gasps and my eyes widen.

"Then why did you hurt me?", I question.

"Because I work for the toddler now and I'm supposed to defeat you and Captain Man. Now you can't get in my way.", he says with an evil grin.

"Jasper this is not like you.", Rose shouts.

"Wait a second did you say toddler?", I ask.

"Yeah. You got a problem with that!", he yells.

"No!", I retort.

I try to use my watch, but it's not on my hand. I look over at Rose who is half tempted to beat anybody up. Then I look at Jasper and some of the goons and they're holding out my watch

"Looking for this?", Jasper asks with a grin.

"Were you looking for this?", Rose asks then kicks him in the worst place to get kicked.

The goons grab her and that puts anger in me. I charge towards them and kick two of the big guys in the stomach. Then I punch one of them in the jaw.

"I've got this.", Rose yells.

She bites the remaining goons arm and wiggles out of his arms. Then she spins around and knees him in the stomach.

I grab my watch out of Jasper's hand and then we run back into the lair to grab the memory gun. We zap everyone and inject a serum into Jasper so he isn't evil.

Rose calls across the hall. I run really fast up to her and I see that she is pointing at Captain Mans body.

"Do you think he's-", she says.

"No. Remember he's indestructible and come on he's Captain Man.", I interrupted.

She leans her face into my shoulder and cries. I wrap my left arm around her and pull her closer to me.

"It's gonna be okay. He's gonna be okay. Okay?", I say.

"Okay.", she says.

I kiss her forehead then walk over to Captain Man. I tap his shoulder to see if he's awake or even alive.

"Psst. Ray you alive?", I ask.

He jumps up really fast and yells, "I'm okay."

I hug him really tightly and then Rose joins the hug.

"For a couple of minutes we thought you were dead.", She says.

"Oh hey Ray. You know about a couple of months ago when you offered for Rose to work with us?", I ask.

"Yeah why?", He asks.

"Can she have the job she is good at kicking butt and she's really special like seriously.", I say while looking at her then grabbing her hand.

She smiles at me then Ray says,
"Well I don't see why we couldn't have extra help around here."

"Thank you so much.", she says.

We all decide to have a sleep over at the Man Cave just the 3 of us. We binge on some popcorn and watch horror movies. Rose and I laugh every time Ray throws the popcorn because of being frightened.
