Chapter 48

Henry's POV.

The alarms started going off while we were watching horror movies which kind of scared the heck out of Ray. He jump up off of the couch, threw the popcorn, and ran over to his desk.

"A couple of men have broken into someone's house.", Ray says.

"Whaat!", I yell.

"Where is this house?", Rose questions.

"It's off of Swellview Avenue.", He says.

We both chew our gum and blow bubbles.

"Wait what about Rose?", I ask.

"She'll just stay stay here, don't worry about her we will lock the place up.", He says.

"Rose your coming with us.", I say as I grab her arm.

"Henry...", Ray says.

"What she already works for us.", I say.

"Fine.", He says.

"Can I put that costume on? The one I was wearing earlier?", She asks.

"Yeah. Can she have it, so she can help more often, if she wants?", I ask.

"I don't see why not.", he says. "But we have to be quick about this, we're gonna be late."

She quickly puts the costume on and we share my tube.

As we get to the neighborhood Rose uses her thermal vision to check for the house they could be in.

"Hey that house looks like it's beatin' down and there are people in there.", Rose says.

We head for the house and start to kick butt. When the mission is completed we head back to the lair to finish what we started, Our sleep over.

"Is Rose an official member?", I ask.

"Yeah she officially is.", he says.

I run up to her, spin her around, and kiss her.

"Get a room guys.", Ray says.

"That's the second time someone has told us that.", I say.

Rose nods then grabs my hand. She leads me to the couch and we start watching that horror movie again. Ray soon sits next to us and we all binge on chocolate ice cream. Ray goes Over to the Food-O-Matic and orders french fries and soda. We all got to know more about each other and we feel like family.

Ray accidentally spilled some ketchup on Rose, so I squirted mustard on him. Then she grabbed some french fries and threw them at him. Half of them hit me and I grabbed my soda and dumped what was left of it on her head.

Our food fight became really messy.

"Okay guys we really need to clean all of this stuff up.", Ray says while laughing.

Rose's POV.

We all pitch in and clean everything up and I'm so exhausted. As Henry lies down on the couch I go snuggle up with him.

Henry and I sleep on the couch and Ray sleeps on the floor. We had a pretty crazy night. When I start falling asleep I have this horrible dream.

*DREAM*

"Noo! Henry just hold on longer.", I yell.

"But I can't I'm starting to slip.", he screams.

"I'll get some help. Uhh just wait- no that's stupid. Just grab my hand.", I yell.

He lifts one hand up to grab me, but he starts slipping and we both end up falling down this black hole.

"No matter what I'm gonna always love you!", Henry screams as we're falling down.

"I'll always have a space for you in my non-beating "Hart" and I Love you too.", I say with my tears flying into my face.

We both hit the bottom of the pit, I hear a thud, and everything goes black.

*END OF DREAM*

I jump up and start breathing really fast.

"Are you okay?", Henry asks.

"Yeah. A-actually I don't know. I keep having the same dream over and over again every single night.", I say.

Ray wakes up and he is sucking his thumb.

"Uhh- #nojudge.", Ray says.

Henry and I both laugh and then it gets really quiet. I look into Henry's big brown eyes and start crying.

"I don't want to lose you.", I say while crying.

"You're not gonna lose me.", he says.

"Promise?", I ask.

"I promise.", he says.

We all lay back down and goto sleep because it's like 2am. Henry holds me really right and I couldn't feel any safer.
