New Camper

"Di Immortals"

I can imagine how confused I look right now.  What exactly is Di Immortals, I have no idea.
" That's really freaky," he continues, " although, I've seen worse."
I just nod as we pass a few cabins. Nico stops to look at me, "Does Chiron know?" I nod my head in reply as we soon stop at a cabin.
      It's a wooden cabin, a bit larger than the others. Like all the other cabins, it has a symbol the represents the cabin presented to the god. This cabin although has a symbol of Hermes, a stick with two snakes entwined around it. A cadeseus, I think it's called.
  Nico opens the door, walks in and yells, "Stoll!!"

Stoll?

"What?!" An angry voice yells. Gulping audibly, I go in only the be faced with a few dozen eyes.
"New camper?" A boy with brown shaggy hair and eyes asks. "Yes." Nico answers. A boy that looks exactly like boy one comes forward and is about to say something but is interrupted by Nico, "She is undetermined."
      As Nico says this, sounds of disappointment and approval are made. Nico then gives me an encouraging shove forward as the Stoll brothers try to get the others' attention.

"Listen up!" The younger Stoll, Connor says,"We have a new camper."
      Travis, the elder Stoll drags me by the arm to stand next to Connor. Then there's a terrible silence. I look uneasily from one person to another and then I get jabbed in the side, causing me to make a loud 'oomf'.

  "Introduction yourself!" Connor whispers to me. I shake my head trying to move behind Connor, but he holds me in place with my arms. I continue shaking my head, but Travis and Connor both nods their heads. I eventually sigh, knowing there won't be a way to escape this.
"My name is Alexander Dare," I say looking at Connor expectedly. He motions for me continue and so I do.
"I think I have a sister." I say visibly cringing at what I said. I see Travis from the corner of my eye facepalm himself.

"Okay, so that's that. Make sure to make Alex feel welcomed everyone." 
As soon as Travis says this everyone disperses.

"Now let's get you a bed for you to sleep in." Travis says. In the end, there were no available beds so it's possible that I might need to sleep on the floor. As I am about to get comfy in a corner near the bathroom, a boy with red hair comes to me with a goofy smile."You can have my bed." I look at him confused. Who in their right mind would want to give up their bed!!

"Are you sure? I don't really want to cause any inconveniences or anything." He quickly nods,"Don't worry. Go straight ahead."

After asking him if he was sure for a few more minutes, I move into his bed. I shake my head sadly.

I didn't even get his name.
I am officially friendless!!

I soon fall asleep to the thought of my drastic life changes.

I stir at the feel of someone tapping my shoulder. I shift hoping the person will get the message, but unfortunately the person does not. I sigh heavily and decide to wake up to see what the person wants.

I wake up and look around but I see no one. I groan.

I woke up for nothing!!!

I frown looking for any possible suspect but the place is empty. I try to go back to sleep, but something is preventing me from doing so.

I sigh and sit up.
I look to my right and see a massive book on the beside table.

Is that a Bible?!
Why didn't I see that there before?!

I pick up the book and flip over the hard cover. There are a lot of contents. I read through the prologue and note that the book is generally about the Greek mythology.

Maybe the red haired kid left it here.

I decide. I open the first content and a piece of paper slips out. It says to Alexander Dare, so it must be for me. Unless there is another 'Alexander Dare'.

This better not be a love letter.

I open it and read. It says:
Dear Alex,
   Hey, it's your big sister. I'm really sorry I can't tell you in person, but I'm alive. I'm sorry I had to leave you, but I had to do it to protect you. Always remember, mother and I love you now and always. She proved her love by dying for you. Don't let her death be in vain. Hang in there.

Oooh that's it!!
Her name was Emily.
I totally didn't need help remembering.

As I finish this meditation sleep finally pulls at me. I let myself to be pulled into slumber.
