Chapter 16(Alex's POV)
I fly off the bed in a hurry to see what I broke this time. I was just sleeping, when I whacked something with my arm. When I spot the broken item, I nearly let out a sob. It was Ty's favorite lamp!!
I quickly put in some decent clothes, brush my teeth and rush out barefoot. I look around for a nice child of Hephaestus, the god of blacksmith and fire, who can help me.
But since I'm new here, I don't know shit. I pull at my hair, frustratedly and walk around aimlessly. I soon reach a junction, so I close my eyes and randomly walk. Then I bump into a figure and land on my bum.

I'm starting to feel like I'm the smallest one in camp.

I look up to see very blue eyes. She stretches her hand out for me and I gladly take it.
"I'm Lacey ." She says.
"Alexander." I reply. She furrows her perfect blonde brows then beams at me. "You're the new girl that has been burrowing my clothes!!" She exclaims, while I look confused.

First of all, the sentence she uttered are never said in a cheerful kind of way. And secondly, I thought Connor said Lucy?

She must have seen my distressed look because she chuckles and says, " Everyone mixes up my name. Probably because no one ever names their child after the word lace."
My mouth makes an 'o' shape as she takes in my appearance. She soon frowns when she sees my bare feet. "Why aren't you wearing any shoes?" Before I could even answer her question, she is dragging me into the unknown.

After five minutes of stepping in stones and pebbles and avoiding glass shards, we get to what I will assume her cabin. The Aphrodite cabin.
I take one look at it and cringe, it's too pink. It's so pink, it should be considered and abomination. Lacey noticed my look and giggled, but I frown. Why can't I be observant like that?!

We enter into the building and I immediately gag, The smell of different kinds of perfume is killing me. Lacey sighs and walks to the windows. As she opens them, I run to her side to get a bit of fresh air.
Satisfied, I mutter, "I'm pretty sure that they burned a hole in the ozone layer." Lacey laughs at this and walks to a bed, jumping onto it.
She sits criss-cross applesauce on the bed and inspects me. She bursts to a smile then gets up to her chest where her clothes are kept. She picks out a multitude of shoes from that one chest, then looks at me.

"You have clothes, right?" As confused as I am, I just go with the flow and nod. She too, nods thoughtfully and starts to place all the shoes on her bed.
When I couldn't take any more of my confusion, I growled out, "What the fuck is going on?!!"
She scoffs at this, "We're getting you new shoes dummy!"
I nod in understanding, but little did I know that I would soon regret it afterwards.

I really regret coming out barefoot. Then we wouldn't be going through different kinds of shoes. As she goes into a huge pink closet to get one of her sister's shoes, I collapse into the bed.

I honestly want to die. My feet are killing me!! My blisters have blisters.

"I'm back!!" She sings. We eyes snap open and widen in horror. I'm about to make a run for it, when I'm grabbed by the back of my shirt. I will tears to flow from my traitorous eyeballs, but they refuse.

"You know what I figured out right now?" She asks beaming. Not in the mood for faking anymore enthusiasm, I just say, "Enlighten me."

"You're not a girly girl. You probably don't like shopping or spending so much time with clothes."

Practically seething, I say sarcastically, " Oh really, however did you notice?"
  She giggles at my tone.

I don't get it!! It's like the damn girl can't get annoyed!! And I need to fix Ty's lamp!!!

"That's why I'm giving you converses and sneakers. Since I don't use most of them anymore." I smile for the first time today, grateful that the dreadful search is over. I get to my cabin at six, exhausted to the bone.

"Alex?" A stern voice calls out from the darkness of the cabin. I gulp, "Yes?" Suddenly the lights are switched on and I hiss at the bright light.
Tears form in my eyes as I see Ty on the floor. His normal bright and cheerful brown eye is fogged with sadness. He's cradling the broken lamp. Percy looks at me with a disappointed look.

I fall to the fall with a loud sob. I quickly crawl to Ty to give him a hug.
I whisper, "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry." I repeat this so many times until he shushes me.

"It's okay. I can never be mad at little sister. It's okay."
I burst into more tears at what he says. It's not my fault I'm so emotional right now.

I love my new family.
