Chapter 27(Alex's POV)

Standing in cabin nine, Hephaestus' cabin. I can only think of one thing. Hot. It is honestly too hot to think in here. It seems that the cabin also has an underground workshop, for unfinished projects. I'd like to think of it as a cave, since that is what it is. With creepy cobwebs that look suspiciously fresh and the shadows resulting from the fire used in welding, Imma rate this cave a 10.

I inch closer to Nico unconsciously, the shadows creeping me out. We first went round the perimeter of the cave, hoping to find Ty by the sidelines. Then, we criss crossed through the tables to find him but to no avail. Ty was no where to be found. My feet were covered in blisters from the heat. It was definitely and undeniably hot.

"Oh woe is me," I suddenly exclaim. Nico looked at me surprised before covering it up with his stupid stoic face. Honestly speaking, I had no idea what I am doing, "The heat that rests in the artist lair," I pause for dramatic effect. I'm very dramatic, mind you. "Slays the sole of the walker and damages for eternity, the mind."

Nico glances at me be fore scanning the room, "Neonata, is there something you are trying to tell me?" I glance sheepishly at him, kicking the ground also. I shake my head and look up at the ceiling, like it's the most interesting thing in the world. Oh look! A ceiling!

"Neonata?" Nico calls out to me warningly. I look towards him, "Piggyback?" I ask hopefully. His eyes soften and he nods his head, crouching slowly towards the ground. I squeal quietly before quickly climbing onto his back. He continues walking, asking around for Ty every once in while. I, however, stayed on Nico's back daydreaming about life without any worries and saving the world crap. It was kinda more of a nightmare because of...you know....high school. I shiver just at the thought. Nico shakes me off and drops me carefully. I look at him confused, but I quickly come to my senses when I see a buff looking guy staring at me.

"Hello." I meekly greet him, uncomfortable from his stare. Nico harshly clears his throat, throwing him off his stare. "My name's Troy," he states, looking me up and down. "But you don't have to call me that." As he says this, it's like he made his voice go deeper or something. I just nod, unable to comprehend his actions. But it seems that Nico understood, because his glare at Troy becomes more ferocious.

"Where is Tyson, Troy?" Nico forces out. Troy glances at me once more before turning to Nico, "He went to the beach. Don't know why." I nod at the helpful information, but it seems like Troy isn't done yet. "So, buttercup," Troy drawls out. "You wanna go out. Nothing special, just go out and enjoy each other's ...company." He finishes licking his dry lips. I whimper softly at his look, I don't understand why he's staring at me like that. Creep. Nico hears my whimper and softly pushes me behind him. His glare becomes more ferocious each passing second and Troy backs away from us with his hands up defensively.

I hug Nico from behind him, "Troy is creepy." I murmur, secretly nuzzling and sniffing his back. But not in a creepy way...yeah...it was definitely creepy. Nico chuckles, "I know neonata. I know."

"Sooo...the beach?" I look up at him.

"The beach." He replies.

We walk to the beach side by side. It was a short journey, just a distance behind the cabin. As we walked, I could already see the outline of Ty's large figure. He's with someone. Someone smaller, dunno who. The closer I got, the more clearer the smaller figure appeared. With bright red feathers, I instantly recognized the book obsessed harpy. "Ella?"

She turns to us slowly, her face a bright red. "Ella!!" I exclaim, hugging her instantly. "How is my favorite harpy doing? You're my favorite harpy, aren't you? Yes you are!" I coo at her, which makes her go even redder.

"Ella is having date. Tyson is Ella's boyfriend. Date, Monday 27th of June. Date, a social or romantic appointment or engagement. Tyson has date with Ella." I hush Ella quietly, before she can get caught up in her fact-filled rambling.

Nico smirks t the couple, "Who helped you Tyson. Cause I know you. Strawber-" I quickly shut Nico up with a light slap on his arm. I glare at him from below him, the height difference making me look less threatening than I usually am. And let me tell you, when I'm angry, I'm really frightening.....in my head, but who cares!

"Ty, we wanted to ask for help? Could you possibly help us build a chariot? Percy said you could build one." Ty sighs and looks up at me, "Did you have to interrupt date?"

I nod, my head bobbing so fast I almost lost it. Ty reluctantly agreed, "Yay!!!" I exclaim, excited about our progress. "The chariot has to have the special compartments, Ty. It's very important." Ty nods and salutes, I giggle as I hand him our blueprints, made by yours truly.

"A hug for my favorite sister." I pale. He hugs me and I feel my ribs contracting. "Can't...breathe...Ty....die." I gasp out and he releases me. I feel around my body for broken bones and I sigh in relief when I find none.

"I'm alive. I'm alive! It's a miracle!!" Ty chuckles and waves goodbye. He intertwines his and Ella's hand together before walking off to gods know where. With nothing left to do, Nico and I continued to roam the beach until the conch shell blew. Lunch time.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Percy just ruined lunch time for me. I didn't expect to be told about his love life while eating a grilled cheese sandwich. My stomach churns at the love sick face Percy displays.

I think I just puked in my mouth.

I poke my bronze cup of water. I would have asked for some juice or soda from the magic cup, if someone hadn't kept on talking about his love life. I need to get some food down if I want to live, and juice and soda isn't advisable. The urge to stab Percy in his jugular grows with each passing word he says. I pour the water from the cup onto the table, drawing shapes with it. The sad part, I've completely lost my appetite. No joke. Sigh.

Oh woe truly is me!!

If only I had a table knife or a dagger, my suffering will surely end. Straight in jugular and h's done. That will shut his babbling mouth for sure. I was thinking deeply about the advantages of using a dagger, when I felt something harden beneath my hands. I look down to see a bronze dagger, lying on the table. Like it hadn't just appeared out of nowhere. I sigh loudly, getting the whole table's attention.

"I honestly don't know what to say anymore." I voice out. It's true though, I have no more words. I don't even know what's normal or not.

Except summer school. That's just a myth.
