Chapter 15(Alex's POV)
I will never get used to waking up in pain. It feels like I ran a Tour de France. I groan as I sit up, I grumble as my head start to pound. I flip the covers of my legs, and move to stand up when I suddenly lose my balance. My eyes widen as the wooden floor comes closer to me at a fast pace.
I brace myself for the impact but it never comes, I then turn to see two lean muscular arms hold me around my waist. I look up to questioning brown eyes.
He raises his brow as if asking 'why'. I shrug and manage to stand on my feet, patting his chest in thanks. Then I go through the painful act of a 'morning routine'.

I come out in an oversized camp shirt, leggings and shorts. I pass Nico to get my sandals and find it broken. I frown and run my hands through my hair. I pick up my bow and scowl as I remember Annabeth's deal.
I turn to Nico confused and ask, "What are you still doing here?"

"I'm here to take you to training." He says monotonously. I shake my head, "Yeah, not gonna happen."
I need to find Annabeth, I think, she'll help me with the bow catastrophe.

"Annabeth is training you with your powers. She won't be happy that you didn't come."
I scowl harder, " What are you waiting for? Lead the way!"

We soon get to the arena, which is by the way, completely empty.
I frown, " Nico, is this a joke? If so, it's just not funny."

"What's not funny?" A familiar feminine voice asks. I glare at him, indirectly warning him not to say a word.
I hesitantly turn to Annabeth and ask, " The bow. We had a deal." With that, I remove the bow from my hair, shoving it in her direction. She stares at it and shakes her head, "It only works for you. I know because Hercules was given a weapon similar to this by a valued friend."

I nod, " Soo... how does it work?"
She stares at the sword for some time then at me. "You have to imagine your sword or choice of weapon. Imagine it to be perfect. To fit you. To be balanced and all that stuff."

I nod and close my eyes. I imagine it to fit my personality, balanced and just the right size. A second later, the bow becomes heavy in my hands. I quickly open my eyes and witness my bow enlarging itself to become a 25 inch sword.

I stared at it in awe. It was beautiful!! Bronze in color, Celestial bronze, Annabeth said. The blade, double edged was so smooth, light was literally reflecting from its surface. At the handle, it had an engraving. I ran my fingers over it and leaned in closer.

'Agápi xepernáei'

I frown and look at Annabeth, she comes towards me and glances at the engraving. "Love overcomes." I squint at the words and gasp at her.
She chuckles at first then clears her throat to cover it up, "I've had practice." I nod absent minded and inspect the sword once more.

"Something is missing," I say, "But I don't know what." As I say this, the wind blows, and a strip of my blue hair falls right in the middle of my eyes. Finally realizing what was missing, I grin closing my eyes to imagine the finishing touch.

"Another bow. Really Alex, this can be a distraction on the battle ground." I shake my head at what she says. It's perfect this way. Knowing I won't change my mind, Annabeth sighs and begins training.

I limp my way to my bed and crash down onto it. I groan as my body finally relaxes. Annabeth decided that because we have very limited time to save the world that I need to train harder, twice a day.

"We're starting with sword fighting, then shifting to shape shifting. Got it?" She asks sternly. I nod my head in determination, muttering a little 'Got it'.
We start sparring, though I was struggling due to my inexperience. Soon enough, I was drenched from head to toe in my sweat.

"Time out!!" I desperately call out, narrowly dodging Annabeth's swinging sword. As soon as I fall to the floor, I am pulled back onto my feet.

"We're not done yet, Missy." I groan, felling tortured rather than trained. "Now, we're working shape shifting."

I was tortured. My bones broke to familiarize my body to the anatomy of other creatures. Even mythological ones.

"Honey!! I'm home." An overly cheerful voice resonates through the cabin. I groan louder, a less wordy form of Shut up!!.

"I hope Annabeth didn't go too hard on you. I told her not to. Her students usually pass out from exhaustion." Percy states. With a grunt of disinterest, I pass out.
