I had my phone sitting up on my dresser and he had his in his hand. He had music playing quietly and I smiled and hummed along as the next song started.

I heard my phone started vibrating off the hook as I just sat on my bed. "Are you going to check that?" Daniel asked and I nodded no. "The only person I would care about getting a notification from is right here." I said and he smiled.
"You guys are so cute!" Gabbie yelled as she barged through the door. "We're just sitting here." I laughed and Daniel chuckled.
"No no no Daniel on Instagram." Jack said and I furrowed my eyebrows. "What?" I asked and more and more people filed into my room. Soon everyone was either sitting on the ground or the windowsill but no one else was on the bed.
"Her phones been up there the whole time, she hasn't seen any of it yet." Daniel said pointing up to my dresser. "I even told her she should check."
"You guys are making me nervous." I said as I shifted to get up but I realized that I wasn't wearing anything other than Daniel's shirt and they were all on the floor. My eyes went wide and Daniel started to giggle. "Zach can you just hand that to her." He said as he pointed to my phone.
Zach handed it to me and I opened Instagram, everyone was weirdly quiet as they waited for me. I went to Daniel's Instagram and clicked on his recent, a picture he must've just taken of me.
"Read it out loud." Tate said as I sat up and wrapped the blanket all the way around myself.
"My best friend," I started and looked up at Daniel who was giving me a toothy smile. "I've never loved anyone more than I love you,"
"Awww is she going to cry?" Corbyn gushed, "she doesn't cry." Daniel said and I smiled at him. "It's that simple. I'm so proud of you and everything you work for, I'm so proud of your success and and how you haven't lost yourself in this life." I continued,
"You've always been my number one fan and always encourage me to work hard and play harder." I laughed as I looked up and winked at him. "Keep going it gets better." Gabbie whisper yelled and I kept reading.
"I'm sure you're already having a great birthday, I can honestly say that I don't have a favorite memory of you," I furrowed my eyebrows at him and he gestured for me to continue, "you light up every room and y-you can make anywhere feel like heaven." I started to tear up a little, "hap- happy birthday beautiful."
I dropped my phone on my lap and pulled him into a hug. He grabbed the blanket and pulled it up to cover me as I went to hug him. "Awwww" and "ooooh" s echoed through the room as we pulled away.
I didn't take my eyes off him. He had this dopey smile on his face, almost like he was proud of himself. It's just adorable. I leaned in for a kiss and he put one of his hands on my cheek as the other was still on the blanket.
"EW DANIEL! Get your tongue out of her throat!" Zach yelled but he didn't even flinch. "Yea guys we get it!" Jack yelled and I smiled into the kiss.
"Ugh finally." Tate sighed as we pulled away. "You know you guys don't have to watch." I laughed and Daniel set his hand on my thigh and I put my hand on top of his.
After a little while of talking everyone started going upstairs. After the last people left I tackled Daniel on the bed. "What are you doing?" He laughed as I jumped on his back.
"You sneaky little bitch!" I yelled as he spun us in circles, "you almost made me cry in front of all our friends." I yelled as he set me down and I playfully hit his chest before grabbing a pair of shorts to throw on.
He picked me up and tossed me over his shoulder as he walked over to turn off the lights. I laughed as I just accepted that he wasn't putting me down.
He walked over to the bed and fixed the blankets with one hand before finally plopping me down on the side with the window. We both crawled under the covers and I laid my head on his chest as we both stared out at the city.
"I love you." I mumbled half asleep and he kissed my forehead. "I love you too babygirl"
