Vivian's pov
I grabbed the bottle of vodka from under my bed and scoffed when I read the label. It was watermelon flavored. I just rolled my eyes and shoved it back under my bed.
I opened my door and I couldn't help but smile at Axel and Leon. They had covered my whole living room with lights and made it feel like a totally different place.

"Guys I love it!" I smiled as I looked around the room, "It looks so great."
"Holy fuck! You're smiling!" Axel yelled and started freaking out. Him and Leon started to jump around and tried to get me to dance.
I just nodded my head no and slumped onto the couch, this felt too much like Hawaii. "Byeee Vinnie!" Axel said as he hugged me. I barely hugged back, just enough for him to know I was there but I didn't want to wrap my arms around him.
Axel went upstairs and left, Leon on the other hand wanted to stay. By the time they were done messing around it was maybe five in the morning and I just wanted to be alone. Leon was on the other side of the couch on his phone.
"How was talking to Gabbie?" He asked and I looked over at him. "Fine. She told me that Daniel went out with some hoe and TMZ got em." I said and he looked at me.
"That right there! That! If you said that about someone last year you would be laughing your ass off!" He yelled and I rolled my eyes. "No I wouldn't." I said quietly.
"Vinnie. Yes you would. You'd laugh for like an hour, 'omg Leon did you see how stupid this guy is?!" He started in a girly voice, "he was out with some whore and actually expected people not to find out! It's like uh yea you stupid bitch you can't get over me... I see you." He said as he pretended to flip his hair and I laughed a little.
"I'm not going to sit here and tell you that you're whole relationship was bullshit. But I will tell you that he's full of bullshit." He laughed and I smiled a little. "Night Vinnie." He laughed as he ran up the stairs.
I just stayed there as I stared out the window. I groggily stood up and grabbed the vodka from under my bed. When I sat back down on the couch the sun was already starting to rise.
The skyline looked gorgeous. I started to think about how many times I laid on Daniel's chest as we watched the sunrise. Or how many times I woke up to him kissing my forehead as the sun beamed through the windows.
I rolled my eyes as I took a sip. I'd do anything to forget him right now.
New Year's Eve
"You really don't want to come down and watch the ball drop?" Elsie said as her and Oliver stood in the doorway. I was sitting on the edge of the couch just gazing out the window at the crowds gathering.
"No I'm okay up here. I have a great view." I fake smiled. Tomorrow will be a month since I got here and I don't feel much better, I almost feel worse.
They left and I sat alone. The memories of Daniel are becoming a lot more unwanted, I'm so tired him always on my mind, I just want to be able to sleep without dreaming of him.
I pulled out my phone and decided to finally post something, it's been a month after all. I found a picture Leon had snapped of me and it wasn't terrible so I posted it.

I turned off my phone and sat down on the edge of my couch. I stared out the window at the crowd in Central Park. They all looked so happy.
As the ball dropped I stared out the window. I thought about the last year and how much my life changed. I also tried to focus on the future, what the hell is this year going to bring?
