"Good morning, Arcadia Oaks," the radio announcer said. "It's 4:30 am. If you're still in bed, you are missing the most beautiful sunrise. Clear skies and a beautiful morning ahead."

A troll stomped on a plastic cup during a fight with an armored troll.

Kanjigar is a large, horned blue troll. He was of massive stature.

Bular is a large troll with black skin, yellow and orange eyes, and a set of horns, which curl around his face. The end of his right horn was chopped off. He wore a kilt with a wide belt, decorated with skulls, and two belts across his chest, which hold his swords. He also had a leather wrap on his right arm.

"Yield, Kanjigar," Bular said.

"A trollhunter never yields," Kanjigar panted. "I'd rather die."

"Terms accepted." Bular snarled. He jumped in the air and landed right next to him. The fight started again. Kanjigar hit him, causing him to fly many feet away from him. He held his sword to his face. "Your turn, Bular," he said. "Yield."

The sun rose a bit more, causing Kanjigar to start smoking. Bular used this opportunity to kick Kanjigar in the face, causing him to fly backward. He dropped his sword in the sun. Bular charged towards him and Kanjigar grabbed his sword, burning his hand in the process. The amulet on his chest started flickering. "There is nowhere left for you to run, Trollhunter," Bular said, stepping closer. "Give me the amulet!"

Kanjigar ran up to the bridge above them, where they could fall at any step. He got his sword out, ready to fight Bular when he came up. Bular growled and came out from behind him and kicked him away. They fought more and they were both now hanging from the bridge. They swung themselves back up and Bular dropped on top of Kanjigar. Kanjigar dropped his sword below the bridge and Bular pinned him down. "It all ends here," he said. He pushed Kanjigar into the sun, causing him to burn and part of him turned to stone. Bular laughed and reached for the amulet on his chest, but Kanjigar grabbed his hand and pushed it toward the sun, causing Bular's hand to turn to stone. Bular screamed in pain and watched Kanjigar weakly get up. "It's me or the sun," Bular told him. "Either way, you're doomed."

"No," Kanjigar said. "The amulet will find a champion. We will stop you and your master. I may end, but the fight will not."

Kanjigar stepped off the edge of the bridge and fell, burning on his way down. He completely turned to stone and shattered into pieces once he hit the ground. Bular was about to run down to the amulet, but the sun rose even more. He punched the bridge and ran off, leaving the amulet in the pile of rocks Kanjigar left below the bridge.

Jim's alarm clock woke him up at exactly 6 am. He took the comic book that he fell asleep reading off his face and got up.

Jim was a rather tall, slim young man of fifteen with blue eyes and short, dark hair. He wore a blue zip-up jacket with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and a white shirt underneath. He has blue jeans and blue and white sneakers.

His room is cozy and averaged sized. In the center of the room is a small, blue, circular rig. Next to the door is a tiny wastebasket and a tall wooden bookshelf, full of books and two motorcycle helmets at the very top. On the left wall of the room is Jim's black desk, right below a window, decorated with a dark blue globe containing pictures of constellations and an orange beside lamp on the opposite end, as well as a red office chair in front of the desk. Next to the desk is his bed, covered by a blue and brown comforter and two white pillows. In front of the bed is a small rectangular blue carpet, right below a tall wooden chest drawer. On the right wall is a coat hanger and another bookshelf decorated with chrome figurines at the top.
