Toby stood in the Heartstone, hiding behind an orange rock. "Okay, get into character," he said.

He took the Glamour mask out of his bag and put it on. He walked over to two trolls as Vendel. "Guard person," he said. "Just returning to pick up a few things and such. Carry on!"

He grabbed the staff that stood near the desk. "Awesome sauce!"

The two guards looked at him.

"I mean, splendid and whatnot."

The real Vendel walked into the Heartstone. "What is the meaning of this?"

The two guards looked at him, then Toby. "An imposter!" Toby said.

"Guards, seize him!" Vendel said.

"No, dudes, seize him! If I'm not the real Vendel, how come I have the, uh, staff thingy?"

The guards tackled Vendel. "Unhand me at once!" he said.

Blinky, Claire, and Toby stood near the bridge that night. Blinky stood in front of them, holding the staff. "Dealing business with these vile agents..." he said. "I dearly hope we are doing the right thing."

"Anything to get Aaarrrgghh back," Toby said.

"Brace yourselves," Claire said as a few cars pulled up. "Looks like the creep patrol is here."

"Follow my lead," Toby said. "I've seen enough spy flicks to know how a handoff works. It's a precise ritual of nuance and power."

Otto stepped out of the car and walked over to them. "Not another step, wiener schnitzel!" Toby said.

Otto stopped a few feet away from him.

"Now, throw us the antidote, and we'll throw you the staff!"

"Are you serious?" Otto asked.

"Deadly!"

Otto sighed and took a piece of paper out of his jacket. He tried throwing them, but it didn't go very far. The air kept it in place. He tried a few times and kept failing to throw it to them.

"Now what, Agent Toby?" Claire asked.

"Okay, fine!" he said. "Let's meet in the middle, but no funny business! Hands where I can see them!"

They walked over to the others and Otto held up the piece of paper. "Enough theatrics," he said. "Do the exchange now!"

He handed Toby the piece of paper and Blinky handed him the staff. Neither of them would let go. "Would you let go?" Otto asked.

They soon separated. Toby held the piece of paper and Otto held the staff. "This will do quite nicely," he said.

Toby started reading the piece of paper. "Twig of Worm's Root, an ounce of sliver...this isn't an antidote! It's a shopping list!"

"It is the ingredients to the antidote," Otto said, walking into his car. "Boil these in oil until it burns, and that will bring your friend back. Pleasure doing business with you. Auf wiedersehen!"

He opened the door and drove away.

"We did the right thing, right guys?" Claire asked.

"Desperate times," Blinky said. "Desperate measures. Now, we must concern ourselves with some shopping." He looked through the list of ingredients. "Where might we find the tears of one untouched my love's first kiss?"

He and Claire looked at Toby. "What?" he said. "I've been kissed. Many times."

"Your nana doesn't count," Claire told him.
