(many months after the last chapter) Trigger warning: suicide
It happened suddenly, like a wave washing across the planet, a burst of energy and then nothingness. Like some great aura that had been covering the expanse of London and beyond disappeared. With it, certain things that had once been changed came undone. Crowley felt a sinking sensation in his gut and looked outside to see his Bentley a fiery wreck. Aziraphale was lost in a book and didn't apprehend the fact that the bookshop around him had suddenly transformed into a smoldering pile of ashes. His wings faded from their pristine white to a faded grey. Not the black of a demon, but not the pure holiness of an angel. He looked up from his book only when he felt that familiar shiver of something going terribly wrong in the universe. When he felt that sinking in his gut. When he felt that unholy emptiness in his soul.
Something—someone—of great power and influence, had been erased from the story. Had ended the story right there and decided not to go on. One major player in the poker game of life had been removed from the table. Taken out of the equation entirely. Aziraphale feared he knew exactly what had gone down.
The Antichrist was no longer present on Earth.
