I don't really know what to think when Steve comes back to the warehouse with a dark blue, 1965 Volkswagen Beetle. I know the man is old, but this...
"Where did you get this?" A small grin appears on my face as I go around the car, having a better look at it. I can't help but find this very amusing. It gets even better when I realize the three over-6-feet-tall men in front of me have to get inside the small vehicle.
"I borrowed it." The way Steve replies to me makes me believe he's not telling us the full story.
Bucky can sense it too. "Wait, did Captain America steal a car?"
"You're full of surprises, Steve." I shake my head and we all get in the Beetle. There's barely space for me to fit my legs in the backseat but Bucky's situation is even worse because Sam has decided to lean his seat down.
We're supposed to get to the airport to meet up with the other members of the Avengers who are reluctant to sign the Sokovia accords and believe our version of the UN bombing. Maybe we've been in motion for just thirty minutes when we drive past the first signage to the airport.
"Steve," I say when I notice we aren't going there. "You took the wrong exit."
"I know." He informs. "We're meeting someone before."
He gets into a road and stops under a bridge a few miles away from the main highway. There, someone is leaning against a parked car, probably waiting for us. I can't see who it is until Steve gets out of the Volkswagen and Sharon Carter finally reveals herself.
"Can you move your seat up?" Bucky suddenly asks Sam in a calm yet intimidating voice. However, that doesn't work on the Falcon.
"No."
