Everybody's got a past.
But Anna Lewis doesn't remember a thing about hers.
One moment she was at home with her husband and baby, the next one she found herself in a dark motel room with a metal-limbed man who tells her she's a lethal assassin. Tha...

I don't get to see what happens to Sam when the light catches up with him. I've been pulled into the ship by Bucky and he holds me close to him as tight as he can. We drop our knees to the floor and I'm still trembling from the adrenaline rush I've just experienced, that's why it takes me a little bit more to hold Bucky back. Once I do, though, I don't want to let go.
"What the fuck happened to you back there?" He breathes into my hair.
"They shot at me and I fell." We pull back a bit and he cups my face with his hands. His metal digits don't feel as cold as I would expect, still, I don't know if that's because his hand is warm or my face is numb from the cold air that has just hit me.
"Anna, are you okay?" Steve, from the pilot seat, asks me.
"Yeah, thanks, Steve." I answer him, still sitting close to Bucky. I look at the long-haired man in horror. "I wish I could forget that fight." He caresses my cheek with his flesh thumb. I'm being vulnerable right now and don't usually show this side of me. He knows that I hate it and I always try to put a brave face, but he doesn't judge me. Neither of us does. It's just like when he has his nightmares and he asks me to hold him until he falls asleep. Now I'm the one that needs to be held. "I didn't like it at all."
"How's your shoulder?" He asks quietly after a brief moment.
"Still hurts," I had completely forgotten about my shoulder and the discomfort comes back once he mentions it. "but I'm fine."
"We still have a few hours until we get to Siberia." We hear Steve from the other side of the quinjet. "Try to rest in the meanwhile."
"You can stay here if-" Bucky begins to suggest but I cut him off almost instantly.
"No way."
He looks at me doubtfully. "Doll..."
"James." He never calls me doll and I never call him James. I can also play this game. "Do you really expect me to stay here now? After all we've been through?" I tell him. We've been together since the beginning and I'm not gonna leave him now. "Next time you kidnap someone, keep in mind that they might get a little attached after two years."
He lets out a chuckle and I can't avoid but mimic him. We lean in closer until our lips are touching and he gives me yet another one of his sweet kisses. I could easily get used to these.
