Everybody's got a past.
But Anna Lewis doesn't remember a thing about hers.
One moment she was at home with her husband and baby, the next one she found herself in a dark motel room with a metal-limbed man who tells her she's a lethal assassin. Tha...

I find myself waking up in a bed surrounded by four white walls. I'm dressed in white as well and I have a small band-aid in my elbow pit, where I suppose an IV line was before. There isn't much more to the room apart from a blue holographic screen showing my vital signs. I can't say I'm disorientated because I don't feel dizzy or lost, it just takes me a while to remember where I am.
"Anna! You finally woke up."
Shuri excitedly comes into the room. As soon as I see her, everything slowly starts to come back to me. Yeah, I'm in her lab, in Wakanda.
"What...?" I begin to ask but she starts interrogating me before I can even finish.
"Hey! Do you remember me?" She plows through the holographic screen as she speaks. Her fingers move fast and I don't have enough time to read what is says.
"Shuri, yeah..." I answer her question.
"How are you feeling?" More and more memories come back to mind as she talks to me. I was frozen, now I remember, but she still hasn't told me why I was woken up
"Fine... Wasn't I in hibernation?" Last time I was unfrozen, I had side effects for at least 24 hours so I'm confused at why I feel absolutely fine.
"Yes, but you shouldn't experience any secondary effects." She explains, reading my thoughts. "Or any effects at all."
With that, I understand that it has worked. I'm no longer a soldier under HYDRA's control. Those damn words won't do anything to me. And it's all thanks to the teenage genius in front of me. "Thank you so much, Shuri."
She just smiles in response. "I brought you some clothes for you to change."
She points to a pile of clothes on a table nearby. I get up to check them out and I unfold them to reveal a long robe with colorful tribal fabrics. I've never felt comfortable wearing dresses and I don't want to seem disrespectful towards Shuri's hospitality but I can't help myself from saying something.
"I... Is there another option? I mean that's beautiful, no doubt, but I just..." I try to choose the right words. "I'm not a dress person."
She raises an eyebrow before smiling again. "I should have some jeans and a tank top around here."
