The only place Spinel could think of was Earth. She didn't know any other planet well. It wasn't like she traveled to other planets with Pink Diamond or anything. She ended up somewhere in the woods about a mile from Beach City. Accepting her new life, Spinel stepped off of the warp pad, making a giant fist, and slamming it down on the warp pad, completely breaking it.

Spinel turned around and walked deeper into the woods. It was starting to get dark, and the dangerous animals Steven told her about were starting to come out. "I wonder if the Diamonds didn't kill all those other planets, they would be like Earth," Spinel said to herself quietly.

Holding the only thing she took from her palace in her hand, she held it tightly, it was really the only thing she had left. She forced herself to walk, even though she was mentally and physically tired. She didn't even know where she was going or wanted to end up going. All she wanted was a fresh start. "I should have never became a stupid Diamond... I didn't even do anything anyways. All I did was show up at the meetings and listen to the Diamonds all be like, my feelings," Spinel rolled her eyes. "I wonder... who was the evil Diamond? I know Blue couldn't have been. She has had so many chances to murder me and she didn't. It must be Yellow Diamond or White Diamond... I can't really find out now..."

Spinel nervously picked at her fingers, and than rubbed the stuffed animal... the only thing she took with her. It was a gift from Steven the 6th time he came to meet her in Homeworld...

Spinel was walking around her palace, bored out of her mind. All day she was waiting for Steven to come like he said he would. She never doubted him, she knew he would never leave her. A few hours later, yes, he did show up. The warp pad lightened up and Spinel immediately ran up to it.

"Steven!"

"Hey, Spinel!" Steven said, waving to her and than jumping off of the warp pad. "Sorry I came so late, I didn't realize how long the mission would take and I have to help them again in ten minutes. "

"Oh, it's okay. It wasn't like I was waiting for you all dayyyy," Spinel said with a wide smile on her face.

"Haha, what? You look like you wanna tell me something?" Steven said guessing by the happy look on her face.

"YES GUESS WHAT!" Spinel flung her noodle arms in the air.

"Hmmm..." Steven thought for a bit. "You found another Spinel? You found a new spot for us to hang out? The Diamonds told you they'd finally leave me alone about living with them?" Steven joked.

"Haha!" Spinel laughed, even though she wished. "No... the... Diamonds... ARE LETTING ME HELP THEM!" Spinel jumped up and down like a happy child on their birthday.

"W-really?! As in you kinda being like a Diamond?!" Steven said happily.

"Yup! And it's the easiest thing in the universe too! All I have to do it make sure gems are doing their missions right and what-not. It's not like it used to do, so it's not going to be as difficult the Diamonds said," Spinel said, laughing and spinning around.

"Spinel... that's amazing," Steven said, though his voice sounded a little off. "I mean, it's wonderful and all but did you ask them why?"

"Why? Haha! Why would I question them for letting me RULE WITH THEM!" Spinel said, wrapping her arms around Steven tightly, who gladly hugged her back. "This is a new start! The fresh start I wanted!"

"Are you nervous at all? I can give you some pointers for making speeches and things," Steven offered.

"Thaaaaanks. But I toooooootally got this," she said confidently. "But I would love it if you sit beside me during our presentations and such... everyone would love to see you... and I mean... you technically are Pink Diamond."
