In The Future (Steven Universe)

Pink Pearl plucked a flower from the garden and brought it up to her nose. She loved the smell of roses. She wanted to rub them all over her just to smell like one. But that would be weird.

Spinel was off with Pink Diamond somewhere, and she worried so much about her. So she decided to stay near the roses to distract her. Pink Pearl prayed each second nothing bad was happening to Spinel. But why would Pink do anything to Spinel anyway? Spinel has no power... no weapon... and why would Pink even want to be able to stretch her limbs out?

"If something happens to Spinel..." Pink Pearl promised herself. "I'm going to end this whole thing..." she crushed the rose in her hand and let it fall to the ground.

The warp pad went off, Pink Pearl quickly stood up and froze. "My Diamond! You have arrived!" But Spinel wasn't by her side. "Where is she?!"

Pink Diamond roughly grabbed Pink Pear's arm. "Shh!" She said harshly through clenched teeth. "Nothing bad happened to Spinel. I just simply left her with the humans in their tank," she said referring to the humans to basically kept as pets. "She loves spending time with them."

Pink Pearl took a deep breath. "Th-thank goodness. My Diamond, I beg you, please don't hurt Spinel," tears ran down her cheeks, and her Diamond brushed them away.

"Don't worry, my Pearl. Nothing will happen to Spinel. I promise you," she booped Pink Pearl on the nose, letting go of her. "But speaking of that... you need to come with me."

Pink Pearl swallowed hard. "I can't. I can't watch that, my Diamond. It is too harsh for me!"

"Oh please! Just close your eyes! If the Diamonds see you by yourself they'll go looking for me!" Pink Diamond said, dragging her to the warp pad. "Why are you the only Pearl that argues with her Diamond?"

"Because I disagree with what you're doing!" Pink Pearl spat out quickly.

Pink Diamond rolled her eyes. "You're lucky I'm not like the others..."

They both stepped on the warp pad and warped to Pink Diamond's palace.

"Wipe those tears away. A guard might see you and get suspicious!" Pink Diamond let go of her again and walked down the hallway.

"I-if you want me to come with you so the Diamonds don't see me alone... then why did you leave me in the garden?" Pink Pearl said while trying not to cry.

"Because I was only gone for five minutes. You know this process takes hours," Pink Diamond said, then she stopped. She gave the wall a hard kick, pushing Pink Pearl though the trap door and than letting herself in. "Good. Let's begin."

"My Diamond... please let me talk you out of this," Pink Pearl said. "Not only is this bad for other gems, but if the Diamonds see you..."

"No one will catch me, my Pearl. And when I get big and strong like the others they'll listen to me and back off. When I'm like the others we both can destroy this place together, okay?" Pink Diamond said giving her a smile.

Pink Pearl nodded and lowered her head. "Who first... my Diamond?"

"Hmmm... show me who we have?" Pink Diamond said.

"Yes my Diamond," Pink Pearl walked towards the curtain on the side of the room and pulled it back. Several gems were chained to the walls, all with shocked looks of their faces.

Pink Diamond walked to them, scanning them all. "Let's do the Jade today!"

"Yes my Diamond," Pink Pearl unhooked the Chains. The Jade immediately ran for her life, but there was simply no where to go.
