Kayla's POV
I spin the ice cream cone in my hand, licking the edges clean then glance up at Danny instinctively. His eyes are already on me and his ice cream is melting over his hand. I blink, knowing his thoughts match every other guy I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. "You know if you want sex, all you have to do is ask, Pretty Boy." He chokes instantly and beside him, Jax loses it.
"What?" Danny manages. I fight my own smirk and shrug.
"You're giving me the look," I state. I drag my tongue along my ice cream just to prove my point. "You know the look guys give when they're horny as heck."
"What the fudge, Kayla?"
"Don't act like you're not."
"Why would you- how would you-" He stumbles over his words then shakes his head. "I don't wanna know," he mumbles. I watch as he turns back to his ice cream only now seeming to realize that it's melting over his hand.
"No, no that's not the end. See now I wanna know, is it the ice cream...or me?" I drawl, unleashing a purely wild grin.
"Now this is getting good," Ryder comments from beside me. Form the corner of my eye I see him lean forward and rest an elbow on his knee. I watch Danny, waiting for the reaction to go one of two ways. Either he stumble some more, or decides to play. I wanna play. He smirks and my entire being seizes at the sight.
"Pick your poison, Sweetheart," he drawls. That voice. I tilt my head to the right. My grin refuses to collapse.
"Oh I'm downing it by the vial." I'm downing you by the vial.
"The two of you are literally in your own world," Ryder states. I blink, flicking my eyes to him. I forgot the boys were even here.
"You're certainly welcome to join, Ry-Ry," I counter, shooting him a wink. He laughs in turn. I look back to Danny as he returns to his ice cream. I lick mine too, not sure what else to do to keep my mouth busy. I look away again and towards Dominic as he stares are his milshakke in silence. I draw my eyebrows together. "Hey Mini Nic, why are you the only one with a milkshake?" Dominic looks up and his eyes find me.
"Milkshakes are superior, Princess." He winks and I roll my eyes.
"At this point I can't even tell if that was supposed to be sexual or not. Either way, I'm not so sure I even care." Dominic laughs and I smirk to myself as I look back at my ice cream cone. I feel Danny's eyes on me and look up at him. He doesn't look away, so I drag my tongue along the ice cream. Take the bait. He only smirks and looks away. I glare at the side of his face, knowing it's intentional and he only intends to make me wait. I continue eating my ice cream, too mad to enjoy it anymore. I feel his eyes move to me and I look back, ready to tell him off. But he's looking at me with the smoothest smirk I've ever seen. And I feel it race along my insides like liquid fire. I melt, my features falling. I force myself to raise an eyebrow and play it off. Danny plunges his tongue into the center of the cone. I watch as his tongue does wonders, twisting into every crevice I can't see to clean out the ice cream still in in the cone. And he never once lets his eyes drop from mine. I draw my lip in between my teeth and my lips twitch upwards. He knows exactly what he's doing. My mind jumps to that night on the kitchen counter and I feel my toes curl in my boots. Danny shoots me a wink. I lose every ounce of composure I had. I feel my face flush. I drop my eyes to my boots, begging it to go away. Danny laughs loudly. I lean down and yank off boot. Then I throw the boot between the two picnic table and hit him square in the chest.
"Dang what'd I miss?" Jax asks. Danny doesn't stop laughing at me.
"Nothing," I mumble. "Absolutely nothing." I jump off the top of the table and stomp over to my boot now abandoned in the grass. I lick my ice cream cone again and tear off a piece of the cone with my teeth ignoring the burn from the cold ice cream. I use my boot to hit Danny's shin. "You're horrible," I mutter, looking at my ice cream as opposed to Danny.
