2010

Some friends teach us many things, most of the time they help us mature, because friendship means facing the battles and the difficulties with each other, what, in certain forms, we have as learning.

The cold was getting stronger each day. My work was a lot agitated, because it was high season and even though Brussels was a city that the majority of the tourists just passed by on their way to Paris or Amsterdam, the tourism was busy, mainly in the winter.

Classes continued full force, but it was practically impossible to do something out of school. It was break and the day was freezing. I had finished a test and I was dismissed as soon as I finished, since it was an abnormally cold day, I opted for going to the library in search of a quiet place to stay. As soon as I entered, I noticed that were practically nobody there.

I started to look at some music magazines searching one that was up to date, but I couldn't much success. I gave up and I went up to a table that was hidden behind the shelves, I threw my backpack on the table and sat down. I tried to read something, but since they didn't have anything of my interest... I decided to drowse. I place my head in my arms and closed the eyes quickly. I had an uncommon sleep.

- Are you seriously going to sleep here? – Oh no! I thought. I raised my head to look at her.

- Is it my impression or are you really stalking me? - I inquired with a weak voice.

- You snore. They're going to expel you from here! -She ignored my question and sat down in the chair to by my side. She put her arms on the table and opened the book that she had got. I read the title.

- Don't you get tired of read these histories? - I decided to ignore her comment.

- It's all what we can think in the school library in Brussels. - I had that to agree with her on that.

- There are others. For example, there are some books by Agatha Christie in some of these shelves. - I looked around quickly after hearing it.

- I know, but I already have all of her books. -I goggled after that. - What?

- How did you think all? - I would like to put my own eyes on that valuable collection. She had to be lying for me.

- Present from my grandmother. – Harriet smiled, closed the book and she faced me. – Want to see it?

- Do I want to? – I smiled at her, excited. – Of course I want to. Are you going to lend me some? – She closed her smile uncomfortably.

- I don't lend my collection, it is a lot valuable. - She humidified her lips and moved her head in a clumsy attempt to move the hair away from her face. - But you can go to my house to read. I have a very cool nook for reading and, as you always share your tree with me, I can repay the favor and share my nook with you. - Her mouth was so tiny that, sometimes, I couldn't see well her lip movements while she spoke.

- Deal! - I wouldn't refuse that invitation after all, we were talking about all books by Agatha Christie! I needed to see that with my own eyes to believe that it was really real.

- And when are you coming? - I raised the eyebrow when I heard this question. She threw her head back again and a bit of her hair touched my hand.

- When am I coming where? - I inquired confused, because I felt the perfume of her hair. It was sweet.

- Back in my house? - I could see her eyes get confused as she faced me.
