CHAPTER XVIII

When I arrive at the office that afternoon, Boss Cheston's nowhere to be found.

I usually meet his eyes as I open the door since we became a couple. He will rush to me and kiss me hungrily, whispering in a deep voice that he's always missing me when I'm at the flower shop and school.

"Where's the boss?" I asked Bruce.

"He's gone with his girlfriend. I think they'll be having dinner with his parents.."

Girlfriend.

Who's his girlfriend from all those women I've seen. I wonder if I knew her or she's someone he's seeing outside.

I felt a strange sensation as Bruce said "his girlfriend".

"He's got a girlfriend?"

"Yes kid, I heard they'll be getting engage.."

Engage.

I turn to the kitchen and starts my chores. Will I have to talk this with him? I shake my head, slicing the cabbage in two. Its not like we're in a real relationship, so I cannot ask him about any of that. Men doesn't like naggers, I can hear Bliss words on my head.

He did manage to join us during dinner.

"Where's Blythe?" I heard him ask.

"He's at the kitchen Boss.."

Then the door opens and he smiles at me. Heavens! Just a mere sight of him made me hold my breath.

He march forward and embraces me. "Why can't I reach you? I've been calling a dozen times!" he shouts.

Oh! I fetch my phone on my breast pocket. "Its out of battery.." I said and turn to the meals.

He hugs me from behind and starts licking my neck. "Boss!"

He laughs. "I hardly see you this past few days Blythe."

"What are you saying Boss! We're living on the same roof.."

"But you're always busy with your schoolworks.."

I want to say that he should not feel that way because he's getting what he wants from his girlfriend anyway, but for some reason I feel like just being quiet.

He must have notice my cold gestures as we arrive home later that night. I'm burying myself in my research proposals when he walks to me and carried me to the bed.

"Its 1am already, lets sleep.." he said and starts cuddling me.

I hug him too. He's warm and his musky smell's driving me crazy, but I push him away and turn my back on him.

"Why?" he ask, hugging me from behind.

Silence.

"I don't want to get used to the things that wouldn't last..." I murmured.

"Then get use to this Blythe, I don't have any plans of stopping this.."

I chuckle. You're a liar but I will let you play with me for a while, I thought and turn to embrace him in return. He wraps his arm around me.

"I love you, little doll.." he whisper under his breathe.

I laugh.

After our exams, I've been summoned at the dean's office while my friends waited me outside.

"What is it Chavillon?" Judson ask, he and the two looks worried. They have reasons to. Our dean only summons students for two reasons, either they will be kick out or that he'll give a warning because he notice some failing grades.

I acted cold and sad but when we're about to reach the entrance gate I stop and laugh my heart out.

"Guys! Your face is so pathetic.." I tease.

"Blythe, why did the dean called you for?" Scout asks, he's in the verge of tears.

"Your grades are the best isn't it?" Clint added.

I continue to laugh, showing them the paper the dean gave me. It was actually a statement of monetary reward for being consistent at the top of our class.

Judson puts an arm around me and pet my hair. "You scared the shit outta us Chavillon..."

We laugh.

"You owe us a drink.."

"Yeah, Yeah, But my hair's all messy now Judson, let go!" He release me and I comb my hair with my fingers.

Just then I felt someone's watching me.

On the corner of my eye, I saw Boss Cheston glaring at me at the entrance gate. He's leaning on his black Porsche, oblivious to the students stopping to admire him.

My friends follow my gaze.

"Do you know him Blythe?" Scout asked.

I put a hand on my head and sigh. "Follow me guys, I'll introduce you to him."

He just watch us walk toward him, smoking a cigarette, with hand on his pocket. I felt my heart beats faster again.

I smile. "What brings you here boss?"

"Hop in.." he said.

"Ah, boss before we go, these are my friends, Judson Glin, Scout Han and Clint Mcberry. Guys, this is..."

Before I could say that he's my boss he spoke. "Im Blythe's lover and she's mine."

I was startled. "BOSS!"

Then he starts leading me to his car.

My friends look shock too, their mouths open as I wave and called see you tomorrow. Geez, I'll make up to them tomorrow.

"Boss, I told you don't go to my school.."

"Why? So you can flirt with other guys?" he blurt out, annoyed.

"That's not.. Well, you see, if I have a friend and then suddenly, someone as handsome as you fetch her with an expensive black Porsche, I will beat her to death... I guess that's what they think of me now..." I explained.

I remember him saying that I was his too.

"and wait, when did I become yours anyway?"

"You want me to make you mine?" he asked and then turn to the road that will lead us to his place.

When we get there, he drag me to his bedroom and put me on the bed.

I panic. "Boss, what are you doing?"

"I will make you mine..." he answered and starts kissing me while his hands unbuttons my suit. I tried my best to push him away but he's so heavy.

"No! Boss! You said you'll wait for me... Stop!" I scream because his hands on my breast now.

I felt terrified. I don't want him to do me, not with his body that was on top of his girlfriend.

"Stop.." I whisper and stops struggling. "Don't boss, please.."

He looks at me and frowns. "Damn it Blythe!" he curse and rolls over. "I just want to make you mine completely.."

"Im already yours..." I murmured, without thinking. "Do you think a girl like me will let anyone do things to me like you do?"

I glance at him as he rolls on top of me again. He's face look surprise and his eyes emanates a hint of.... what is it? Is he happy?

He let out a boyish smile. "Say it again Blythe.. I don't hear you.."

I look away, putting an arm on my eyes. "No way in hell will I say it again."

That night, as he wraps me in his arms to sleep, I ponder on everything that happened and assure myself that once this is over, I will forget every foolish things I've said.
