THE HANDSOME DOLL

CHAPTER XXVI

Bliss arrive with Crystal the following day.

I drove to the airport after my morning shift, Mrs Daniel help me make a slogan that has "Welcome back Bliss!" written on it and even arrange a small bouquet of flowers for my sister-in-law.

He'd been away for several months and Im itching to beat him already.

"Blythe!!" someone shouted.

I tiptoe from the crowd and lift the slogan higher then I spotted him waving from the arrival area and pointing to the less crowded area. He ran towards me and wrap me in his arms, swirling me above the ground.

"Sister! This is my jacket, how could you!" he blurt out seeing me dress on his outfit.

I attempted to hit him in the head but as if by instinct, he dodge it. He looks more lean and taller than before, his hair longer and dyed black.

"What's with the hair?" I yelled.

"Don't you like it?"

Just then, a girl around my height walks in, pulling a luggage behind. Crystal Delby. She's blonde and yes, very pretty, wearing a red scarf around her neck. Bliss put an arm around her shoulder.

"Sister, I like you to meet Mrs. Crystal Chavillon" he said, smiling from ear to ear. "Crystal love, this is my sister Blythe."

Crystal smiles sweetly as we pat cheeks and put her hands on my shoulders.

"You told me she's your twin but I never expect the girl version of you is so charming.."

I chuckle and offer them a ride to the apartment. Bliss's jaw fall as he cheerfully walks around the blue Porsche the boss gave me. Crystal and I laugh. I think we have the same thoughts about my brother being such a kid. I have a feeling we'll get along in no time.

"Is this really yours?"

I flashes him the keys on my fingers. "The boss from the Ligneri-Blanc Family gave it to me..."

"Oh, I never thought they'll be this generous.."

Boss Cheston's car was park at the basement of the apartment. He came out when he saw us arrive. He approaches us and shakes hand with my brother.

"This is my brother boss, Bliss Chavillon and his wife, Crystal.." I said.

"Yeah, the similarities are creepy.."

I nudge him and frown. He leans over and pat cheeks with Crystal too. Even she couldn't help but gasp of how handsome boss Cheston is. I saw her held a breathe.

When we step inside the apartment, Crystal and I prepares refreshment first.

"So, you are my sister's..." Bliss ask.

"He's my lover, brother." I interrupted.

I sat on the sofa next to boss Cheston while Crystal sat next to Bliss in front of us.

"Oh, I'm surprise that sister of mine found a lover, I'm on the verge of consulting a witch to give her a spell so that she'll fall in love.."

I glared at him and they laugh. Crystal gave us souvenirs from there honeymoon and after three hours of hearing Bliss's adventure stories we're off to go. Bliss kiss me on the cheeks and I remind him that we'll do our "own catching up" some time, just the two of us. He smiles nervously because he knew that will be about me jumping over him and pulling every hair on his head.

"Your brother has the people-person gene, why had you not inherit the same?" Boss Cheston tease.

When we arrive at the central office the big boys are all getting ready to do outside business and Boss Cheston receive a call from his father, the big boss, asking him for a meeting.

"Is there something wrong?" I ask because he turns serious.

He shook his head. "Nah, maybe there just some issue with one of the headquarters." I fix his tie for him then reach for my hand and kiss it. "You okay here?"

"Not a child anymore."

"See you at the house later." and he wave goodbye.

The issue he's settling together with the big boss last for three days and he hardly go to the office during those days. He comes home exhausted so I made sure his dinner and bath water are kept hot. I wonder what is the problem since he's teasing me less, even going fast asleep right after embracing me. I ask Bruce what could it be and he informs me that they're having Family meeting at the main house and since I'm not a member of their organization, I know better that I have to keep my mouth shut.

He and some of the big boys were all on the meeting this night and I'm left with Nick, Jene and August. We played billiards at the entertainment and Jene's almost winning when we heard the office door opens.

I ran to welcome the boss back but what step inside are a group of men wearing black leather jackets. The way they look around the office gives off the atmosphere of real dangerous mafia members. Their leader, or I presume its their leader, is a tall bulky blonde man puffing out a smoke. He walks over the drawer where some documents lie together with the dolls August made for me, he saw the porcelain doll and raise it eye level then to our surprise he smash on the wall.

"I can't believe that bastard's only fooling with dolls in here." he said in a husky voice as the men with him, sitting on the sofa, lets out dry chuckles.

I step forward. "Gentlemen, its a good day isn't it?"

The blonde leader looks at me with furrow eyebrows then to the guys behind. He lets out a smoke again and threw the half consume cigarette at the carpet before stepping on it. The big boys obvious silence made me realize that these men are not to be treated as friends.

"Hey, Rogger, this one looks like the dolls that bastard's put on a display!" he yelled.

"Is that so boss? Play with him if you like.."

"Later.." he grins wide, revealing large yellowish set of teeth. "Hey porcelain face boy, we haven't met before, have we?"

"I guess I don't like to meet you at all." I answer.

His dry laughter echoes through the office walls. I look to Bruce directions and his face turns pale as if warning me not to say anything foolish.

"Bruce, your immature boss sure has taste for kids! Oh man, don't look at me like that, its been a while, I'm just here to visit.." he said and turns to me again.

"Let me introduce ourselves first before we head on, I'm Rafael Crawdirr, but my boys prefer calling me Bull. Do you like that?.. I hope you like that.." he's circling me as I stood there frozen. "Obviously the bastard's isn't here so you're right young man, its a good day... and if you ever wonder why we're here, well, how do I put it.. you see, this is suppose to be my office in the first place but the big boss puts his fucking bastard----"

"Stop calling him bastard!" I shouts.

That caught him off guard. "Oh, you dare raise voice to me? That's rude.."

The men sitting on the sofa starts to stand and to my horror they brought Nick, Jene and Bruce kneeling, twisting their arms on their back.

"Don't!" Bruce yelled. "Not that kid Bull, not that kid! Ahh!!" he scream.

I was about to help them but Bull grab me by the collar and drag me to the table. I struggle but he slaps me hard to the face without second thought sending me shoulder first to the floor. My mouth instantly let me taste my own blood and my head starts to spin around. He help me stood up by grabbing my hair roughly and pins my upper body to the table with my back turn to him. A chill run down my spine as I brace myself on what to happen next.

"You have a short temper boy, and you will thank me for doing you a favor with this. You see, there are people like me who's temper is much shorter than yours but I have to give you credit for turning me on anyway."
