PETRA'S POV

When my friends and the fish were gone, I asked,

Petra: "Excuse me, your majesty, but I'm confused. Why do you need to talk to me?"

King Saturn: "All will become clear soon, my dear. Hahaha. Finally!"

Suddenly two armed mermen grabbed my arms tightly.

Petra: "What the?! Let me go!"

King Saturn grabbed a large trident next to him and pointed it at me.

King Saturn: "Hold still, Petra. This wont hurt a bit."

Petra: "What are you going to do?! Kill me?!"

King Saturn: "Good heavens, no! We need you, chosen one."

Petra: "What?"

King Saturn: "I'm going to turn you into a mermaid."

Petra: "No!"

I struggled to get away but the guards where too strong.

King Saturn: "Pearl, bring me the bubble."

Petra: "No! Please!"

Pearl: "But, father, she wont be able to breathe!"

King Saturn: "I'll do it quickly. Go! Now!"

Princess Pearl swam over to me.

Pearl: "Don't worry, it's not going to hurt. You might just feel a little uncomfortable for a while. That's all."

I started to cry.

Petra: "Please don't take away my Breather Bubble. It was given to me by a special friend of mine."

Pearl: "I'm sorry. But you won't be needing it anymore."

Just before she took it off she told me.

Pearl: "Hold your breath. This won't take long."

With tears in my eyes I held my breath. She took my breather bubble off me and kept it. She backed off.

Pearl: "We don't know how long humans can hold their breath! Do it!!"

King Saturn zapped me with is trident. It wasn't to long before my legs disappeared and in there place was a mermaid tail. I took a breath and I didn't drown. I could breathe normally. I really was a mermaid. The guards let go of me and I sank to the palace floor where I sat there just looking down. I couldn't move and I didn't say a word.

King Saturn: "It worked! Yes! Guards throw her in the cave with the beast."

The guards took my arms again. I could hear but I was to shaken to listen. Did he say beast?

Pearl: "Please be gentle with her! She doesn't know how to swim yet!"

King Saturn: "Sit down, Pearl!"

Pearl: "Yes, father."

The guards took me to a cave with metal bars in the opening. They opened the door and threw me in. When they left I just buried my head in my arms where I lay and cried. I didn't know what to do. I couldn't move.

Petra: "I wish I had never trusted that stupid fish."

I wanted to wake up from this horrible nightmare. I wanted to be back at home, in my bed, with my legs. But most of all, I wanted to know my friends were safe. With nothing more to do than just lay on the cave floor and cry, that's what I did. I felt uncomfortable, scared and confused.
