After I get out of the elevator and walk out of the precinct, I approach my car, unlock it and jump it; I put the keys in the ignition and drive off. I drive around for about ten minutes looking for some abandoned housing site to talk to my brother Samael. It's a long search, but, eventually, I find one - a concrete building about 50 stories high, it's heavily reinforced with steel rods in the linings of the building, ceilings and possibly the stairwell. It looks like it's about to dilapidated, but, luckily if it does fall, then it falls on me. I park my car in the compound, then I jump out of my car, slam the door and lock my car. I walk a little, few inches away from the car, suddenly, I figure why walk now. I teleport myself upstairs in the building; fortunately, it's the perfect spot for the talk with my brother.
I just stand there and pray. I don't know if it'd work, but, I know that it has too, after all, Chloe's live is at stake here. After a couple of seconds, I suddenly stop praying - and not because it is pointless, but, because I felt something while I was praying. I lower my hands.
"I was beginning to think that you wouldn't come," I say as I turn to face him, though he doesn't seem too happy to see me.
"Is the Detective alright?"
"She's fine. At least for now." I sound a little creep when I said that, so I explain. "Samael, who ever these guys are, they are totally and extremely hell-bent on getting ahold of you, and there is absolutely no telling what they'd do when they finally get you. But, I quite certain that whatever they want from you is not going to be pretty."
He absorbs my words for a moment before he retorting, "Well, they're not going to get me anytime soon, because I won't be revealing myself."
His words stunt painfully. "I know you've been in Hell for possibly thousands of years, but, I know you're not totally retarded, Samael."
"Gabriel, I can't go back." He roars at me.
"Can't or won't?" I roar in his face.
"Does it really matter?" I stand there in silence, reflecting on his somewhat inconsiderate and uninterested behaviour towards Chloe's life - it's almost as if he didn't care. "You'll take care of it." He utters in my face, guessing he'd win the fight with those words because I promised him.
Suddenly, I slowly smile and chuckle loudly; his face remain stern whereas mine is a carefree, loose look. I finally look at him and express myself, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry, brother. It's not me. It's... It's you." I laugh in his face. I mutter, "I can't even look at you right now." I turn around, laughing louder than before. Then, I stop, saying, "You're pathetic." I turn to face him; his face is too stern and upset. "You're pathetic, Samael. The old, courageous, yet narcissistic brother would have taken anything he wanted, but you, you are worthless piece of shit."
"Gabriel--" He speaks, but I cut him off. "You're a coward. You know, I can't believe that I looked up to you, my old yet immature brother. I wanted to be like you, now I can't even stand you. I mean just look at you. You were the Lightbringer, alluded to be God's favourite. The highest rank of angels. I used to gaze in awe of you and now I gaze in great disgust. Lucifer Morningstar, the one who betrayed his father and was cast into Hell for all eternity, infamously known as the mighty fallen angel..."
"Gabriel--" He speaks, but I cut off him again. "And to think you were worthy of a human's love. To think you'd be selfless, at least for her. But, you're running away because you're selfish and worthless. You'll never be worthy of anyone's love, not even Chloe's."
He snaps and pushes me into the post, enraged because I made him crack. I sneer whilst shaking the pain off. "Looks like I hit a nerve. Finally." I teleport behind his back, grab and toss him into the wall. I walk towards him, stoop downward, and mouthing, "I may be smaller than you are, but, believe me, I am not your scared, little brother that left in Heaven. Not anymore. Understand?"
He nods, I stand up. "Good. Now, I'm not going to force you to help me save Chloe. I honestly don't care anymore. But, I'm not taking orders from you." I stretch out my hand to pick him up and he put his hand into mine. "I'll do whatever it takes." He teleports after I said that.
