I arrive at the department in six minutes, I park my car, put on the lock and head inside of the building. I walk into the elevator, press the button for the precinct's top floor and I stand there until I arrive. The elevator finally stops, opens its door and I gradually walk out of it. I walk down the hall and down the stairs and Ella greets me.

"Good morning, Chloe."

"Good morning, Ella."

I walk just a little pass her, and Dan greets, "Good morning, Chloe."

"Good morning, Dan." He stops me before I could reach my chair, "Hey."

I turn and ask him, "What?"

"You look great."

"Thanks." Dan walks away after I show my appreciation to his comment. I turn and walk to my desk. I sit in my chair. I organize my desk, but while I was doing so, I stare at the chair across from me, Lucifer's chair.

In a flashback

Lucifer springs his chair up and down, then up again, saying, "You know I should get my own desk."

"Not happening," I object.

"Right next to yours will probably be best," he points his finger to my right side indicating that he wants to sit next to me.

"Definitely, not happening," I object again. He raises his chair up, "Why are you hovering over me?"

"I'm not hovering, I'm just... spending time with my partner." Lucifer says happily as he lowers his chair to my level.

"Well, since you're here, why don't you help me with this paperwork?" I push a stack of papers towards him side; his face slowly loses his typical smug. I pat the paper.

"I could really get used to this, partner," I say happily.

"Right. Yes, on second thought, maybe a desk in the far corner...."

Flashback ends

"You're reminiscing heavily." I snap out of it. "I mean, to me, it's another day at work, but, for you, it's more. Are you okay, partner?" He asks me.

"Yeah, I'm... I'm great."

"You sure?" He asks again, standing across from the desk.

"Yes, Donatello. I'm great. Convincing enough?"

"Mildly. Anyway, now, that's all out of the way. I'm glad you're okay." he comments.

"Thanks. I appreciate it."

"Now, I'm not criticizing your jewelry choice, but, that looks awfully like a bullet."

I look at my necklace and say, "It is. It was from a.. a good friend of mine. It's actually my present."

"Let me guess: Lucifer?"

I choose not to answer him, to be honest, sadness falls upon my face.

"I'm sorry. I-I really didn't mean to do that," he apologies.

"It's okay," I fake a smile and lie.

"Now, that was not reassuring," he says slowly and cautiously.

"Good morning, Detective Mosquit. Good morning, Detective Decker. I have a..." Lieutenant comes in suddenly, he realizes that we got spooked. "Am I interrupting something?"

"No!" Donatello and I synchronize.

Lieutenant scans us with his eyes and shrugs it off, "Okay. Anyway, you've got a case. Location's in the file. Here." He hands the file to me; I collect it, "Thanks, Lieutenant."

"I'd like to join you, if you two don't mind," Lieutenant makes a request. I look at Donatello and vice versa. I ask, "Are you sure, Lieutenant?"

"Like I said, if you two don't mind."

I am totally and utterly appalled by this, but, I hesitantly agree to it. "Sure." Donatello looks at again, shocked. "Um, yeah, Lieutenant. We could use all the help we get."

"Okay." Lieutenant walks away; Donatello and I still flabbergasted by our new car-driving buddy. We are silent, but, I decide to break it, saying, "You should probably...."

"Inform Ella and Dan." He finishes my sentence before I could. I nod, "Yeah, I'll do that. Get the keys, partner." He turns around to say "partner" to sound funny and I hate to admit it, but, I chuckle and I grab my keys from off the desk a couple seconds after he departed. I walk towards the elevator to get out of the precinct.
