Chloe's POV

After that somewhat honest conversation and trying to convince her that I'm alright, I hang up ny phone and sit back in my car with Donatello beside me.

"At least, Maze isn't the only one," Donatello says ominously, by the looks of it, he overheard everything.

I look at him, eyes tilt to the right. "Are you kidding me?" I say in an annoyed manner.

"Listen, I know I'm your partner, Chloe. I'll always follow your lead, have your back, but, come on - a plan like this? It can't go overlooked." Donatello thoroughly explains about his belief.

I look at the bar a bit before I turn to face him and talk to him honestly. "I'll admit, I don't think it'd work 100%."

"Then, why do it?"

"Because it's the only plan I've got, Donatello, therefore I should execute it."

"No matter how insane it may be."

"I have to try something. And this may be it. And besides, this is the only way we find out if it works or not."

Donatello sighs, "Alright. I just wanted to make sure."

"That's okay." I look through the window again at the bar, saying, "I just hope it works."

Amy's POV

After what seems to be ten minutes of nothing remotely supicious, I decide to buy a drink - Bourbon always helps. It's not for getting drunk, it's really for liquid pleasure.

Two, three shots should do it, don't want the criminal to smell it's a trap. Shortly, after ordering three shots, a guy walks and takes a seat right beside me.

"What can I get you?" The male, malnourished bartender asks him.

The man looks at me, but subtly and says, "I'll have what she's having, but with the whole bottle and a glass."

"Coming right up." Bartender willingly goes for a whole bottle of bourbon with a single glass, and places them on the left of the man sitting next to me.

"Thanks," the man politely says.

I subtly look at him before taking a shot of bourbon. "Rough day, huh?" I say in a polite, casual yet soothing tone.

"Something like that," he causally replies. He looks at me and says, "How'd you know?"

"The large beads of sweat running down your forehead kinda gave it away," I point out cleverly. His sweaty forehead did made it obvious.

"Yeah, right." He breathes out sharply.

"So, what got you so nervous?" I ask politely.

"I'm not. It's just rush hour. No biggie," he emotionlessly replies.

"Okay," I subtly say, though I have a feeling he's hiding something.

"You wanna get out of here?" He says abruptly.

"Where to?"

"It's a surprise. But, trust me, you probably die from it," he says bluntly as if the statement meant nothing. But, I keep my cool.

"Like killer excitement?"

"Exactly, except emphasis on the "killer"."

"Sure." I pick up my last shot and drink it. "Lead the way."

"Let's use the alley."

He walks and I follow him to the exit the building and entering the alley. We walk pretty normal until he steps on his lace, and trips briefly.

"Damn it!"

"What?" I ask him as he kneels on the ground.

"Nothing, just stepped on my lace. You can keep going the car is around the corner, I'll meet you there." He gestures his right hand to the right side, pointing where to meet him.

"What you don't trust me?" He says jokingly.

"I'm with you, aren't I?" I rhetorically say. He chuckles softly. I walk up a bit, but I know there is something off now. So, I stop and turn around swiftly and in my face, there he was with a pocket knife! I move from my original position the second the knife was infront of me.

"Woah! You're lucky, but, it's just luck." He tries to stab me with the pocket knife. I grab his wrist and punch him square in the face on his nose.

"Argh!" He groans and holds his nose immediately. When he removes his hand, he saw blood. His nose is now bleeding.

"How's that for luck, dumbass?" I say dryly.

"You, bitch!" He tries to attack again with the same knife, I dogde each strike and swiftly kick him in the balls. He drops the knife immediately after that.

"I'm sorry. Did.. Did that hurt?" I joke.

He charges at me, furious and this caught me off-guard. He grabs both of my arms tightly, holding me in one position. I groan a bit.

"Oooo, what you gonna do now, bitch?" He smirks half-cocked.

I smirk too, but deviously.

"What you laughing at?"

"Your nose is broken."

"No, it's no..." before he could even finish his sentence, I head-butt me hard in the nose. He's on the floor now, groaning loudly.

"It is now." I smile. Shortly after, the team runs into the alley, we're in. Everyone's face is mildly concerned about me, emphasis on the "mildly".

"You okay," Detective Decker asks, while getting down to cuff the guy on the ground, and there is no time for gentleness.

"Me, I'm fine. Him, on the other hand, has a broken nose." I reply in casual tone. She gets up with the guy and hands him over to Daniel.

"Not bad," Maze compliments my beating of the culprit.

"I shouldn't be trifle with you, girl." I dive into my pocket for a glove, stomp down and pick up the pocket knife and handle over to Decker.

Chloe's POV

After Amy hands me the pocket wrapped in one of her gloves, I carefully place it into the Ziplock bag. "Thanks."

"Although, there's not really much to do with that, maybe it's a just try-to-kill-me-with evidence. But, evidence all the same." It is silent now, until Amy says, "I'm hungry, is anyone else hungry?"

"Hell, yeah!" A voice says, I recognize it to be Maze.

I wrap the evidence in the bag and carefully put into my coat pocket. Dan seems more than pleased to have an early lunch, he quickly, but roughly put the guy out of the alley, Donatello walks behind him to help Dan out; Lieutenant and Amy walk out, leaving me and Maze in the alley, only a few seconds behind them.

I ponder on what just occurred, and frankly, it doesn't seem right. At all. I walk slowly while in my deep thought, unfortunately, Maze quickly notices my thoughtful glace.

"Chloe, is something wrong?" Maze says sincerely.

"I don't know," I slightly evade. But before we can walk out of the alley completely, Maze yells. "Chloe."

I slowly turn around to face her; she walks up closer to me and says, "Come on. We used to live together. I know when you're lying to me just like you know when I'm not listening to or deliberately ignoring you."

I shake my head and softly scoff. Maze chuckles. "Okay, it just... things went a lot smoother than I thought. Than I expected."

"Maybe, because he got tired of running. Or maybe, you're just that good at your job."

"Yeah. Maybe," I say under my breath.

"Don't be so hard on yourself. He's apprehended, he's going to be held for questioning and pretty soon, he'll be locked up, along with his partner in crime. We've got him." Maze explains.

"Yeah. Yeah, you're right." I agree.

Maze nods and walks out of the alley. I walk and whisper, "But, it was a little too easy."
