That Was Really Too Easy

Interlude

Sorry, I've been off the grind for a while, but I'm backwith another chapter for the Lucifer Season Five Fanfiction book. I wrote a lot this time. I really hope that you guys enjoy it. Much love to you all!

Gabriel's POV

After the team apprehended the suspect, Detective Chloe and Donatello didn't one second to question him. Chloe and Donatello properly, but firmly put the suspect to sit in the chair across from theirs in the interrogation room. Donatello uncuffs the handcuffs from his wrists, so they can speak freely. While all of this was going on, Maze and I are standing and watching everything from the other of the two-way mirror.

"Mr. Knights," Chloe begins to speak as her partner takes a seat. "Do you know why you're here?"

"Because I've tried to kill one of your officers?" Knights says rhetorically leaning in his metal chair.

"Well, yes, but mainly, because you might have also killed five blonde females."

Knights leans forward and says, "So?" His ecpression is blank, nearly emotionless.

"And you're not denying it?" Chloe says in a questioning tone.

"Because I did it. I killed them."

Chloe looks at him sternly, similarly so is Donatello's.

"I can tell you everything," Knights says openly.

Detective Decker slowly leans into her seat and listens to his story.

"Samantha Watts, Erica Robinson, Peta Edinson, Jessica Peters and Rebecca Thompson. All stabbed, drained of their blood and all of which was done by me."

"How'd you kill them?" Decker asks earnestly.

"Stabbed directly in the heart. I just slit their throats for fun, though it was fully satiated."

The man is truly murderous psycho.

Decker picks up an envelope from the table and she takes out the pictures to show Mr. Knights to make a confirmation.

"Her." Decker show the first picture of one of the victims.

"Jessica Peters, I stabbed in the heart last."

Decker slowly moves to the second photo of the second victim.

"Erica Robinson, stabbed before Jessica."

Decker moves to the third photo.

"Peta Edinson, she was the third."

Decker moves to the fourth photo.

"Rebecca Thompson, the second one to be stabbed!" He says it with excitement like it was a beautiful hobby of his.

Decker then arrives at the last photo.

"Samantha Watts, first one to be stabbed, but the only one hung!" He smiles broadly. "Whoa, that was very nostaligic! Making me miss them already," he says sinisterly.

I look at Maze from the corner of my eyes, and she does the same.

Decker puts the five photos of our victims down on the table, and says, "And all of this killing just to get to Lucifer?"

Knights nods.

"Why?"

"Because his work here is not done. Despite what he thinks. I mean, come on. Going on "vacation" just to stop something that's fated."

I listen carefully and watch on quietly.

" 'Something that's fated?' " Donatello quotes the man's words. Knights' glance is fixed on him. "Okay. Sure. But, let me just get this straight, and as accurate as possible, you killed all of them, right?"
