The Happy Accident

Chapter 23

Libby's POV

We had finally left to get dinner. I was extremely excited and I tried my best to keep it in.

I kept sneaking glances at Liam. I noticed him sneaking glances at Lenix. This upset me.

I pulled my cell out under the table and sent her a text to meet me in the restroom.

'Um, I need to use the lady's room,' I said suddenly, causing the lads and Lenix to look at me.

She finally looked at her phone when she moved so I could get out and gave me a slight nod.

'I think I'll do the same before our food comes,' she said and followed me.

When we were in the restroom I turned to her suddenly looking a little hurt.

'I don't think Liam is interested in me at all,' I pouted.

She stared at me shocked. 'What do you mean?'

'He sneaks glances at you,' I said throwing my hands up in annoyance.

She farrowed her brow and tapped her foot. 'Well I'm not interested in him at all, Libby. I like Niall and Liam knows that. I'll think of something so you and Liam can be alone. Don't worry, Nixxy will fix this.'

She gave me a hug and a reassuring smile. I returned her smile and we returned to the table.

Liam's POV

'Wonder what that's about,' Niall spoke up when the girls walked to the loo.

I glanced at him. 'What do you mean?'

'Usually when girls go to the restroom together something is up,' he said staring at the empty seat in front of us.

I arched an eyebrow. 'And you would know that how?'

He looked at me. Before he could answer the girls came into sight. Niall had a look of relief on his face.

'For a minute there I thought you fell in,' he said as the girls sat down.

Lenix grinned and giggled. Libby... well she looked upset. Since I was sitting across from her I gently tapped her leg with my foot causing her to give me a look.

'You ok?' I mouthed, as not to disturb Niall flirting with Lenix.

Libby shrugged and took out her phone. Ok well this is lovely. She's upset about something. I wonder what actually went on in that restroom.

'Hey! I have an idea!' Lenix said nearly a bit too loud.

We all looked at her and Libby gave her a look as if she was a zombie or something. I chuckled.

'Let's hear it,' Niall said resting his chin in his hand.

'Why don't we go to the mall and each of us get One Thing to remember this night by?' Lenix smiled at her brilliant plan.

I grinned. It wasn't a bad idea. At least it would give me and Libby time alone.

Now I'm starting to question my feelings about Lenix. Ugh. Story Of My Life. Insert facepalm here.
