At the SGC, Jack was talking to General Hammond. "Sir, I wished you would be more open to us. I can understand you not being forthcoming with us when we first met you, but... actually, I don't understand. If this is important, why be so damn secretive?"
"If you were told you had another life, and they hid it from you for your protection, how would you react?"
"But you are still being secretive, and Sam — or I should say an alternate one, they have kidnapped and gone through a lot more than I could understand. I don't want my Sam to go through it!"
He smiled, "Calm down, Jack. I don't want her to go through it all either, but what I was told, the one that is being trained by Master Tumok Brugnat will end up being able to do all that is required of her in being this one powerful being for all in the universe and the Jedi Knights of today."
Jack sighed, "If she has already done all this for them — from what I understand — she shouldn't have to go through any of this. She has the right to live her life any damn way she pleases. It's not fair for our Sam to go through this royal status."
Both of them thought she was meditating in some far-off place on the base, a holographic image appeared in the room of her, "Yes, my love, I have that right, and I choose to be with them now. I feel that I must be with her and guide her through all this." She paused, "it might be indirect, but she needs my help. She is hurting far too much, and I don't think her Jedi training alone will make any difference."
Hammond replied, "That is why you need to be back in that galaxy."
She smiled at him and replied, "Yes, I do; I first had to step away to get a fresher look at the situation."
Jack asked, "What have you come up with while on Earth?"
"I have done a lot for her. I first allowed you to get a dream of how to get to her. With the rest of SG1's help, you will get to her." She paused, "remember that the SG1 in that reality doesn't know how to get to another galaxy."
"A Dream! You know I don't believe in all that stuff." He paused, "I hope you were convincing."
"Oh, I was! You will get the chevrons needed to go there from Chulak. It was I that sent the ancient Jedi Knights to Teal'c. He, too, will make a difference in rescuing her from all she had been through." She paused, "when I get back to Tython, I'll have Daniel help his counterpart in finding things about the ancient Jedi Knights. None of you alone would have been able to do squat."
Hammond asked, "Have you talked to her!"
With a very sad look, she answered, "Yes, I have. She wasn't aware it was me, but I have helped her continue onward before Hothok rescued her. I allowed her to be nearby where Ituor, Kavreesh, and Gremposho were when they made the first contact." She paused and looked at her lover, "the rest is up to SG1 of that reality. They will be her bridge to sanity. Hammond is right, it meant her to suffer for all the Sam counterparts to be whole."
Jack said, "I hope there is something we can do in the meantime before she ends up blending or whatever with you alongside all the other realities out there."
"Yes... an impressive deal. Once the Cathars on Tython are ready for what the evil counterpart of Chari has planned for their galaxy, we will talk to the governments of Earth to have everyone here to get ready for their first interplanetary star wars. If we aren't, then we could lose everything."
Hammond said, "Keep me informed as much as you can. When the right time comes, I can talk to the President and allow him to talk to all the leaders of Earth. Since this will be the first time interacting with other living beings from other worlds, we need to take this slow."
