One day, at their apartment on Coruscant, Lisblia found Chari slouching on the couch laying on her stomach. She came up to her and massaged her shoulders. It was not long before Chari shared her feelings on what was upsetting her. "I shouldn't be here."
Lis replied calmly, "Why would you say that, love?"
"She is here. I shouldn't be here, baby."
Knowing very well what she was talking about, she wanted her lover to admit it. She continued to ask questions, "You are here, baby. Why should you not be here with your Mother?"
Tears streamed down Chari's face, blurring her vision. Her voice, choked with sobs, barely formed the words... Nevertheless, she whispered, "She is dead."
She knew Chari was not opening up fully to what was bothering her, so she kept on peppering the questions but lovingly and gently, "There is nothing wrong with being with her in this time period. You told her that yourself. So what is bothering you, baby?"
The room seemed to shrink around Chari as a sob, violent and unexpected, wracked her body. After a shuddering breath, she choked out, a voice thick with longing, "I just miss her."
Still massaging Chari's shoulders, she said, "You're with her now, and there is nothing wrong with you being with your Mother before you are born. You know you can't change time or influence your Mother's path in life. You know very well she has to do that for herself. I think you need to explain to her more about what has been going on. If you do not, then how can your Mother go down the right path?"
While drying off her face, Chari said, "I'm afraid to get too personal with her. I don't want her to know that she is dead in my timeline. It could scare her more than how she feels right now."
Lis stopped with the loving shoulder massage, and use a very strong tone of voice, "Twi'lek, I hope you don't expect me to believe what just came out of your mouth just now, or I will believe that your Lekku is fully packed with bantha fudo!"
For the first time, Chari looked eye to eye with her lover and asked, "How would you feel if you were told you will die decades later?"
"How I feel isn't the point. We both know your Mother — over the decades, and she would not freak out if you told her. No one lives forever, baby, and when she died, it was of natural occurrences. She won't get upset, so stop acting so goofy."
She gave a heavy sigh.
"If I know your Mother as I do, she has already figured you out."
"That's true. I could never fool her on anything. It was hard to surprise her. I had to get Father's help to hide her gifts on her Birthdays... and a few of the special holidays. If it wasn't for him, she would have known what she would get before I could wrap it."
Lisblia smiled at her, "I think your Father is just as powerful as your Mother. True, your Mom did all she had done at Stargate Command when she was part of SG1, but I wonder if she would have carried it out if he wasn't there with her?"
She sat upright while stating, "It was all four of them that caused things to work out so grand. Only Mom and Dad could use the Force without realizing it. Daniel could find things like no other I know. In all the years I have known him, there is no trace of him able to use the Force or any other energy field."
"As far as you could tell. Did you not tell me one day that the Ancient Jedi Knights used the Force similarly?"
"Yes, I did, but through learning and growing with it, their abilities grew. Daniel's skills, if he was using the Force, have not changed."
"As I told you before, he wasn't trying to grow in the Force. I believe if he did so, his skills would grow with it."
"What about Teal'c?"
