NIGHTFALL SOON fell over Auradon. Hours had gone by.
Mal and Evie kept their eye on Scarlett. She seemed fine.
Seemed.
Her and Carlos conversed back and forth about nothing as they walked to Audrey's hangout.
Carlos held her hand and still unaware of what was happening to her.
"I'm gonna tell him." Evie said.
"No, look, she's fine. Her eyes haven't shifted since Carlos came back. She's looks fine. "Mal said.
Evie looked back at the two as the laughed about who knows what.
Scarlett caught Evie starring. Her eyes shifted to green as she winked at her before quickly changing to brown.
"Mal."
"Look, Evie, she's gonna be fine."
Evie began to grow tired of Mal being in denial.
Ben looked back at the others and silently shushed the others.
They followed behind Ben and Mal and headed inside Audrey's hangout.
"She's not upstairs." Jay said.
The group sighed until they heard a knock on the door behind them.
The knocking continued and Ben went to the bolted door. He opened it and saw Chad sitting in the corner hugging his knees.
"Chad?"
"I want my mommy."
Ben bent down to help Chad up but Chad jerked away from him.
