Elizabeth and Justin has not spoken since that one awkward morning, and every day seemed to become harder and harder because of it. Elizabeth sat in her room on the day of Bryce Walker's day at trial, staring at her hands. She knew it would be a hard day for everyone. There came a knock on her bedroom door. "Come in." She spoke softly. The looked up as the door opened and Justin stepped into her room. "Are you here to apologize?"
"I'm not the one who needs to apologize."
"You called me a slut."
"You slept with Zach."
"That doesn't mean I'm a fucking slut." She scoffed as she shoved a piece of her hair behind her ear. "I have literally only slept with two people in my lifetime. You and Zach." She puckered her lips. "And, you shouldn't call any girl a slut."
Justin sighed as he looked down at the ground. "You're right. I shouldn't have called you that. I'm sorry." Elizabeth stood up from her bed as she listened to Justin speak. "I was just so pissed off that you would sleep with him."
"Justin, we aren't together anymore."
The boy's eyes snapped up at her. He furrowed his eyebrows. "Yeah, you're right. I just thought that there was still a chance that you would take me back."
"Yeah."
"Eliza-"
"Let's not talk about this anymore." Elizabeth shook her head. "Let's talk about the trial."
Justin nodded. "Good idea."
"Bryce is just going to lie about everything, and the jury is just going to believe him because he is a straight white asshole male." Her eyes met Justin's for a second before she quickly looked back down.
"It's not fair. Hannah didn't deserve this shit."
Elizabeth looked back up at Justin. "You really care about this, don't you."
"It's important to you, so of course I care."

Elizabeth was right in saying that Bryce would just continuously lie and the jury would seem to believe him. Every single word that he said on trial was completely untrue, and even Chlöe, when sent to testify about Bryce raping her in the boy's 'clubhouse', lied to protect her precious boyfriend.
Days after, Elizabeth was still not over how someone so horrible could get away with anything just because his family has an enormous amount of money. But, Justin was going to testify that very day, and hopefully he could convince the jury that Bryce is guilty.
