Justin Foley sat on his bed, with his girlfriend, as Lainie Jensen sat on the bed across from them. The door of the shed opened, and a sweaty Clay Jensen entered, followed by Matt Jensen. "I was just out for a run." Clay groaned, placing his phone on the table. He went into the bathroom.
Lainie stood up from the bed, approaching her husband. "I found him out on Navy Pier this time." Matt spoke to his wife. "Just standing there."
"I lost track of time, that's all. I-" Clay exited the bathroom, turning to his father. "How did you even find me?"
"Clay, last week you go out running, and you end up in front of Bryce's old house." Lainie explained, placing her hands on the table. "And now you're at the place where he got killed?"
Clay shook his head. "I didn't mean to go there. I- I just- I just kept running, and I didn't hear my phone because I was- I was thinking."
Lainie let out a sigh. "Well, uh- we told you that we were going to be doing random drug testing on you three while Justin was still in the program, now seems like as good a time as any." She grabbed a bag and set it on the table.
Justin stood up from his bed, followed by his girlfriend. "Like, right now?"
"Yes, right now." Lainie nodded, taking the supplies out of the bag. "Is that a problem?"
"It's not a problem for me." Elizabeth shrugged, turning to her boyfriend.
Justin looked between her and Lainie before nodding slowly. "No. No, it's not a problem."
"Jesus, you're overreacting." Clay scoffed.
"We just want to make sure you're being safe, okay?" Matt spoke. "We just want to know that we can trust you."
Clay shook his head, sighing. "If you trusted us, you wouldn't be testing us in the first place."
"Okay, Clay, that's enough." Lainie snapped at her son. "You're up first." She handed him a cup, and he sent her a glare before taking it and walking into the bathroom.
After all three teenagers had taken the test, Clay's was positive. He stared at the test. "I mean, the test must be expired or something."
"No." Matt shook his head. "The tests are fine."
Clay frowned as he looked over at Justin. "Then he must have switched the samples."
"Wait, you're claiming he did what?" Elizabeth exclaimed, crossing her arms over her chest. "How would he have fucking switch them, Clay?"
