Elizabeth Jensen woke up from her sleep and looked beside her, expecting to see her boyfriend sleeping beside her, but he wasn't there. It had been two weeks since Justin Foley's death, and Elizabeth was still not used to the new world she lived in. She always wanted to see or talk to Justin, but he was never there. He was never going to be there again. This was just something she would have to get used to.

It was the day of Justin's funeral, and Elizabeth had been dreading it for two very long weeks. She sat up from her bed, glancing down at her phone. The time read twelve-thirty in the afternoon. There were texts from every single one of her friends, saying good morning or hoping she was doing alright. They were all trying to keep a close eye on her.

The truth was Elizabeth was not doing alright. She tried to make it seem like that for her friends, but she was dying on the inside. A part of her was dead, and the other part was slowly dying. She never knew she could feel such a magnitude of pain, but here it was.

She slowly stood up from her bed, taking a deep breath. She was trying to take every day one step at a time, but even that was becoming too hard. It had been over a month since the funeral, and Elizabeth was off her crutches and mostly able to walk normal. She made her way over to her closet, grabbing a black dress from inside. The girl stripped herself of her clothes, tossing them on the ground. Her room had become a mess since the death of her boyfriend. She just did not care anymore. She pulled the dress over her body and tossed her hair up into a pony tail, not worried about how she was looking.

Elizabeth let out a sigh, leaving her bedroom and walking down the stairs. She made eye contact with her mother. Lainie Jensen sent her a sad smile before beginning to pour some coffee for her daughter. "Good morning, sweetheart. How'd you sleep. How do you feel?"

"Awful." Elizabeth answered, moving to sit down at the breakfast table.

Lainie finished pouring the coffee and sat down in front of Elizabeth, setting the coffee in front of the girl. "Is there anything that you think could help with that? Do you want me to get some melatonin?"

The girl shook her head. "It's not going to help, mom. But thanks."

Elizabeth looked down at the coffee cup before lifting it up to her lips and taking a drink from it. She set it back down as her mother began speaking. "Are you sure you don't want to say anything today? I'm sure that Justin would-"

"I said no, mom." Elizabeth cut off her mother. "I can't."

The mother nodded. "I understand." She watched as her daughter ran her finger along the rim of the cup. "Honey, your father and I were thinking that maybe it would be a good thing if you started to see Dr. Ellman."
