Daina x Ruby

Ruby was walking in the town she lived in, wandering aimlessly. She walked from one shop to the next, one side to the other. She saw every tree and every crack in the sidewalk. What was there to do on a Saturday afternoon? All her friends were busy at the moment. 

Her thoughts kept zooming around in her mind, not letting her see exactly where she was going. 

Ruby tripped over something and fell onto someone.

"Ouch!"

"I'm sorry! I'm so so sorry!" Ruby apologized, her face turning red with embarrassment. 

"It's alright... I should've looked to be honest..." 

Ruby looked at the girl with the most gorgeous sky blue eyes she'd ever seen. 

"No no no, I'm sorry... er..."

"It's Daina. You are?"

"My name is Ruby. Do you want to do something? Buy you something to drink? I'm sorry about earlier."

"Uh.. sure!" 

Ruby and Daina walked through the streets, getting along very well. They chatted like old friends. Pretty soon, Ruby realized that this girl didn't only become her friend... but her crush.

They starting hanging out more often. Sharing thoughts has never been a problem to Ruby, or flirting a bit... But Daina made Ruby seem anxious about her decisions. Even though Daina always acted a bit angsty around everyone... Ruby can't help but feel like she made Daina feel a bit uncomfortable. 

And, Daina seemed extremely nervous around Ruby. It seems... off. 

Maybe Daina disliked Ruby the entire time and just became friends to not feel so bad.

Maybe Daina doesn't know how to stop being friends with Ruby.

Or maybe... nah... not a chance...

What if she likes Ruby back?

Ruby decided to tell her. They met up at the on a cloudless day.

"Hey... there's something I should tell you..." Ruby started. Daina looked at her, a barely visible pink tint shown and curiosity. "What is it?"

"I.." 

How should I tell her I love her? Should I just say it?  Nah.

"Well... I really like this one person. Like, like like... and it's a girl, how should I confess to her?"

Daina looked heartbroken, but managed out a, "You should tell her..."

"That's a great idea, Daina," Ruby chirped. 

"Hey Daina." 

"Yes..?" 

"I love you a lot," Ruby blurted out, smiling and blushing. Daina looked shocked, then she looked at Ruby with her sky-blue orbs and said, "I love you, too."

Without caring about how many people were around, they openly shared a kiss.
