Title: The Coward Flees!

---------

"I'm sorry!" The worried angel teen fled from his village. "Go son! Run and don't ever look bac-!" The mother was suddenly cut off when a demon stabbed her with it's sharp claw-like nails. She fell limp almost instantly as her chest was pierced straight through.

The angel teen ran as fast as his legs could let him, all while many demons were running after him. "Kill him! Don't you dare let that kid get to the Midlands!" A demon yelled, some demon of a higher position because the demons followed the orders, causing the teen to run even faster.

Tears streamed down the boys face, but he didn't spend anytime wiping them, all his energy was put into running as fast as he could. His jet black hair flowed in the wind, his small frame pushed itself to the limit.

BOOM

Suddenly, the capital was lit up in flames. "No! The capital is gone?!" The teen thought before a giant hole came into his view. He sped up even further, his paced breathing becoming more sporadic. The clouds were coming up as his feet as he kept light and ran as fast as he could.

"Kill that royal-blooded foul now!" The teen suddenly was grabbed by his shirt. His body jerked back, but instead of looking back he instantly extended his silky smooth wings. The sudden appearance of his wings caused the demon holding him to let go. "Those damn things?! Rip them off!" The teen boy quickly retracted the wings, and kept on sprinting.

"I've gotta go! I can't beat them! I can't beat any of them!" He ran faster than he has ever before. "Please! I'm too weak to do this! It's right there!" The masses of demons inched closer and closer to the boy. No matter how fast he thought he was, they were getting that much closer to him.

"I'll deal with the him myself then!" The teen boy's blood went cold when he heard the voice. "I'll kill my brother a dozen times if he'll understand!" The boy felt all of his hopes drain out of him. "We lost...the war?" He knew he had to run, the loss of the war meant he had to run away but the sudden discovery made him trip over his feet.

He spent a single moment soaking in what the loss of the war meant, before he forced himself to get up and continue running. His royal golden eyes were so tired, and lost all their shine, but he kept on running.

He soon reached the massive hole in the clouds, the hole that lead to the Midlands. He held no fear as he approached it, and as soon as he could, he jumped so he could fall through it. That slight moment of a possible escape gave the golden eyed angel some hope, but that was soon put out by unrelenting reality.

In an instant, the crushing grip of a terrifying enemy held his throat. "Gahk!" The teen tried to squirm for air. "Shut up!" The black haired teen continued to squirm for air, but eventually slowed down. "Good job, little brother. Now, I've just gotta ask you a question." He looked so warmly into his little brother's golden eyes, almost like saying "it's gonna be alright" before he slung his brother into the sky.

The older brother quickly flew up and grabbed his brother's defenseless throat. The younger brother, still looking like an angel, clenched his eyes as his throat was gripped by his older brother.

"Look at me!" The younger brother kept his eyes closed, his fear becoming very clear to anyone around, the demons begining to get hungry off that same fear.

" ...LOOK AT ME!" The younger brother reluctantly opened his eyes after his brother yelled at him. The little brother's eyes opened up wide, seeing his brother's wings as half light and half darkened. He also had red, curled horns, obviously becoming some thing that isn't an angel or a demon.

"I did it little brother. I made Mom and Dad proud. But after it I realized, why were they the ones to-!" He was cut off by his little brother spitting in his face. The young angel may have been scared, but he didn't want to spend any time with this monster that resembled his brother. He didn't even get angry, he just slowly wiped his face off.

"... I hope the humans kill you. Because if they don't, I will tear off each of your limbs before killing you myself. Actually, let me give you a taste." He nonchalantly grabbed his little brother's right arm and tore it off. "AHHHHH!" His little brother screamed in pain, blood spraying from the new wound. "Goodbye little brother, but before I let you fall to your demise... I'll call you by your name one last time... Goodbye, pathetic Akira."

The older brother dropped the younger into the hole to the Midlands. "I hope to never see your coward face again. You could've saved everyone, but instead, you ran away, so I will personally hope you experience the pain all your people went through." He cursed his little brother.

The pain strucken angel, named Akira, held his left hand over where his right once was. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..." He spat out blood as he closed in on the ground.

He slammed into the ground, creating a crator. "I can't fight him... I won't fight him..." He coughed out, crawling with his one arm out of the hole.

"I have to live... I can't die... not now..." He heard footsteps and saw a woman with a decent scar on her face. Gladly, his wings weren't out. "Please... Help..." Were the last things he said before collapsing.

--------

"So... I should watch out or else my half-angel half-demon brother will come and destroy the world?" The boy packed his bags up before his mom kissed his forehead.

"Uhuh! Don't you let that nameless brother get you! We'll see you soon, (Y/n)!" The mother hugged and kissed her son, not truly ready for him to be gone for the next few weeks.

"I'll talk to you later, little bro." His older sister rubbed his head, but instead of getting a normal huff, she was surprised to get a hug. "I'll miss you too, (Y/n)." She hugged him back, and for a moment, it was a genuinely nice moment for the two close siblings.

"Aww, You both are being so nice to each other!" The loud-booming voice of their father echoed through the room. The decently tall and buff man, hugged both of his children at once, causing them all to be squished together. The children began to laugh, and soon after, everyone was laughing.

Everyone eventually calmed down, and gave (Y/n) his goodbyes. "I promise, I'll be okay. I'll be with the Kamado's after all." (Y/n) reassured his family.

"I'll talk to you all later, alright?" (Y/n) waved before heading off towards the Kamado's.

"Do you guys think he'll be okay?" (Y/n)'s older sister asked. "I honestly don't know Luna." Her father solemnly said.

"He'll be fine. The angel Akira has watched over our family for generations, so he can watch over (Y/n) for a week." The mother tried to reassure her husband and daughter. "Mom, we both know that the angel is known as a coward. None of us should depend on him to protect (Y/n)." Luna sighed before making her way to her room.

"Rei, we need to start training again." (Y/n)'s father looked to the sky, his wife nodded silently. "We'd stopped training in order to take proper care of our family. I think when (Y/n) comes back, we need to train our children along with ourselves." She sadly looked at the village they stayed in through the window.

"I agree, but I will miss being here and living this life." She sadly spoke quietly, almost silently. "We won't have to leave this place. This place is meant for our family, we just have to... leave it for a while." The father soothed his wife.

"Yeah Torusuke, I guess it will just be a little break." Rei agreed. "I just hope... I hope that the angel Akira will come back to teach us his ways. Possibly even teach us how to right his wrongs..."

Normally I don't put author's notes at the end of chapters, but this is an exception.

So currently, I don't have an idea who this will be paired with. I'm keeping all the males as males, but I've gotta figure it out.

I'm keeping this with the Anime, so I'll be adding ideas of my own after it mainly ends.

Tell me if you enjoyed this chapter, and what you may have enjoyed about it.

And lastly, I'm gonna finish "The Gamer of the Multiverse" before I'm gonna update for this next, so just a fair warning.
