After getting back from the Great Marsh in Pastoria city, and after scavenging around, you had finally caught the Pokémon you wanted. You couldn't use your ultra balls, but you did get some Safari balls when you got in. Tossing the Safari ball in your hand, you had a smile on your face over your newly caught Skorupi. You had always wanted one for a while ever since the bullying got out of hand. They were dangerous on their own with their poison, but their evolved form also looked intimidating. While Sonya couldn't fight while in the Safari Zone, she did get to watch you try and catch other Skorupi's until you caught this one. Now that it was over, the two of you were walking back home. It was about three in the afternoon.

Walking back on Route 213, you and Sonya were making your way back home. Umbreon was in her pokéball since the time you entered the Great Marsh but had released her since getting on Route 213. While she was with the group, she was asleep on Sonya's back. While she may have won the race, she got tired fast. You could hardly wait for the moment to bring Skorupi back to your mom and dad to show him off. After that... maybe you could just wonder around the city, maybe go back out and catch another Pokémon or two. You looked over at Sonya, rubbing the top of her head.

"Thanks for taking us out here Sonya. I don't know if we could have made it before it got dark if it wasn't for you." Sonya looked at you, smiling.

"Thank... you...." Even though her voice was still shaky, it still brought a smile on your face to hear her speak. Walking through the grassland that would eventually lead to the beach, people were moving to and from locations. You know, thinking about it now, maybe you'd take Sonya back up to Turnback Cave since Dominick was arrested and Britney was back in Sunyshore City. Looking up at the sky, you decided it would be another time, since by the time you got back home, it would already be dark. You looked back at Umbreon who was still asleep on Sonya's back, rubbing her head a little to let her know that you were still there. She moaned a little bit before going quiet again. After that, you started to go back to rubbing Sonya's head again. By this point, you just admitted that you couldn't keep your hands off her. That fur was so soft it should have been a crime. Sonya was loving the attention from the looks of it. She was even wagging her tail a little bit. While it was logical to just get on her and ride back home, walking back has always been nice as well. You got to see the views for once and not have those feelings of worthlessness. Umbreon suddenly perked her head up, looking into the forest. She leapt off Sonya, then started running into the forest. You saw her doing this and started running after her, running in front of Sonya.

"Umbreon! Where are you going?!" You chased after Umbreon as she kept running deeper into the forest. Sonya caught up to you and stayed by your side as you both ran after Umbreon. The deeper you went, the more Umbreon got further away. Sonya let out a cry. As you looked at her, you saw her looking at you. Knowing what she was wanting you to do, you quickly jumped onto her back, then as you secured a grip, she started speeding up. Even though Umbreon was fast, Sonya didn't have too much trouble keeping up with her. Eventually, Umbreon slid to a stop and looked around. That's when you and Sonya stopped as well. As you got off Sonya, Umbreon had stopped looking around and was staring at one specific spot.

"Umbreon, what's gotten into you?" Umbreon looked up at you, then indicated to something in front of her. As she looked forward, you tried to see through the shrub and grass to see what she's trying to show you. Some of the grass was dried up and dead, but it was hard to tell what she was trying to show you. Sonya seemed to see it as well, but as you tried to look, you just couldn't see what they were seeing. Then you heard something similar to a cough, and that's what made you see what it was. You couldn't see it because of where you were, but stepping to the side a little more, you saw some white sticking up from in the dried grass. Looking more carefully, you saw two black dots in the middle. At first you thought they were eyes until you actually saw one of them open their eyes. Upon seeing you, the Pokémon let out a growl before jumping out of the grass. You were caught off guard a little by the lunge and took a couple steps back. Sonya took a couple steps in front of you defensively, but despite that, you could still make out the Eevee that was standing in front of you. It continued growling, staring directly at you, Umbreon, and Sonya. As you stared at it for a few seconds, Umbreon started to take a few steps towards the grass. The Eevee jumped at her, letting out a cry as it tried to bite her. Umbreon stopped and took a step back, avoiding the attack.
