Beautiful Creatures

Chapter 2-Xander

As I walked away my mind wandered to the beautiful girl I had just met. Her long, black hair, big, red eyes and ruby red lips. "I think I'm in love with a vampire!" I say out loud, realisation suddenly dawning on me. Why did this have to happen to me? WHY ??? Why couldn't I meet a nice werewolf girl, or even a human would be better than this!
The thing that scares me is what my family will do when they find out.
Ten minutes later I reach my house. I take a deep breath before opening the door. As soon as I take a step inside I smell the aroma baked goods in the air. Either mum or Eve had been baking and it smelled delicious! I have only taken 1 step through the door and I'm attacked by my brothers and sisters. I have 42 siblings and more on the way. Unlike humans, we tend to have more than just 3 kids tops. In fact we normally have between 10 and 13.
This was my mums 3rd batch and she was super moody! She would get on at you for the smallest things like now...
"Xander!" She shouts down the stairs. " is that you honey? "
"Yes mum." I shout back up.
" what time do you call this? " she asks.
"12:30" I reply.
" You were meant to be home by 11 at the latest! " she says.
"I was running and lost track of time!" I reply quickly . I knew she would bring this up and had been going through possible answers in my head. This one seemed the most likely.
"Okay, I'll let you off this time but next time I want you home on time." She says like every other time I've come in late.
Except this time is different! This time I wasn't just doing it to annoy her. I couldn't wait for tomorrow!
"Xander! Xander, did you hear me?" My mum says walking down the stairs.
"What?" I say, a little louder than I meant to.
" Eve was baking cookies earlier. There should be a few left if you want one? " she tells me having now reached the bottom of the stairs.
Her hand was resting on her enormously huge belly. Me and my siblings had a bet on how many were in there. I bet 11! 
"Yes, thanks mum." I said.
" no problem. " she replied and started walking to our living room. "I sure hope these pups come soon or I'm gonna explode!" I heard her muttering under her breath as she walked past.
I headed to the kitchen where I found three cookies. I took two before heading to my room. I share a room with my brother, Pete.
As I walked in I was hit with the smell of old socks. Our room reaked! It was so bad that sometimes I slept on the sofa.
I put the roses I had found earlier on the table beside my bed and it instantly smelt better. Being from the first litter me and Pete had been put into one room to make room for the new pups. I can't say I was thrilled. My room used to be spotless! Well, maybe not spotless but close enough. But if course I got the messiest pup alive and now my room is unrecognizable!
I put on my PJs and went to bed. I started at the ceiling for a while, still thinking about her, before falling asleep.
