"Xander!" I hear someone say. I look up and see Maddie standing in the doorway.
"Maddie?" I shout. "what the hell are you doing here? They'll kill you!"
"I heard screaming! I was worried so I came to find you! Good thing I did! I can help. I know how to do this. I studied as a midwife for 4 years before giving up. I took half the course and in that time they thought us how to help people through labor and deliver the baby's. "
" I don't want your help! " I hear my mum say through gritted teeth before letting out another scream.
" Maddie you should go! Once these babies are out she'll kill you and if any of my siblings come in and find you then they'll kill you! Please! I'm begging you! Just go. " I try to persuade her but I know how stubborn she can be. She probably won't listen.
" you know her? " I hear my mum asking.
" yes mum. " I say." I fact mum, I love her. "
" GET OUT OF MY HOUSE YOU TRAITOR "she yells at me.
" mum wait I... "
" OUT! " she screams again.
" okay. I'm going. I'm sorry! " I whisper but she still hears me.
" I DON'T CARE! NO SON OF MINE WOULD BE FRIENDS WITH ONE OF THEM!"
" WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?" I yell, finally losing it.
"Xander! Xander, come on!" I hear Maddie say. "I would like to keep my head thank you very much!" and then some nervous laughter.
"I'm coming! I don't need this! My real family wouldn't care who I love or who I'm friends with! They'd just be happy for me! Cus love is about accepting who I am and not trying to change me! I don't need you! I hope I never see you again!" I say before going upstairs to pack.
I grab a few things, my favorite jumper, a few tops, a few pairs of jeans, underwear and a change of shoes.
" Xander! You almost done up there?" I hear Maddie call.
" yes. I've just got a few more things to grab and then I'll be done!" I say before getting one more jumper for Maddie, I heard that girls like to steal their boyfriends jumper so here you go Maddie! Then I go into the bathroom where I take a toothbrush, a towel and some things for washing myself.
Just then I hear another scream, the third one since I went upstairs, and realize those baby's must be almost here!
I have to hurry.
I run down stairs and grab Maddie who is watching my mum, the first baby's head visible.
"Maddie, we have to go!" I say taking her hand and slowly pulling her away.
Together we run out the door hand in hand, my mother's screaming behind us and endless possibilities in front.

I know that the ending is cringy but I couldn't think of anything else so yes!
