Chapter 7- Maddie

I had chased her for a good few hours before my mum came downstairs.
"Do you realise what time it is?" She hissed. " 5:30 pm! And why are you both already dressed? "
Lilly spoke before I had the chance. "I was hungry so I went to ask Maddie if she would come with me to find food and then when we got back I thought it was later than it was so we got dressed and were waiting for you so we could go to the funeral!" She said in one breath.
"Oh yes. Aunt Molly's funeral. It was so stupid of her to go into wolf territory and get her head bitten off. And now we all have to sit through 3 hours of uncomfortable seats and uncomfortable dresses! I hate this! Once every 1000 years a vampire dies of stupidity! Why did it have to be from our family this time? " my mums rant went on for a good 2 hours.
"Mum! It's 8! The funeral starts in half an hour! Maybe you should get changed? " I but in. Knowing mum she would on on for hours more. She loved a good rant and would do it at whatever opportunities she could get. If you done something good at school she would have a good long rant about it. You'd be stuck listening to her voice fo 3-8 hours straight!
"Good point. Girls, go wake you're father up please! Tell him I'll be in the bath!" she commanded us.
"Yes mother!" we both recited in unison.
We walked untill she was out of sight then I turned to lilly and shouted "race you!"
"oh its on!" she said after me.
We both sped off running at 72 mph! Impossible for normal humans, but then again, we're not normal humans!
Lilly got their firs and I was 2 secs behind.
"I win! Dad wake up!" she said.
"DAD!" I scream.
"be quite!" she tells me. "mother doesn't approve of shouting. You could get in trouble!"
"no she won't." my dad says. "she was just doing what she told you."
"morning dad" I say.
"morning hun" he replies.
"the funeral is in half an hour so you might want to get ready." lilly tells him.
I love my sister but I hate her at the same time. She has never broken a rule in her life and I'm pretty sure she never will.

5 hours later.

"that was the worst funeral ever." my mother exclaims. "keeping us back after so we can talk about her and get us FAT!"
"first of all, if you weren't born fat then you can't become fat as you are a vampire! Secondly, I thought it was quite nice. I was very close to her mum and this is rather hard for me to process!" I shouted at her, on the verge of tears.
"Come here." my dad said. "it's okay. We'll make it through this! Okay buddie?"
I nod my head.
"let's get going then. What does everyone say to dinner?"
10 minutes later we were standing in the woods. I had ran home to get changed into my leggings and black hoodie.
"I'll see you back at the house. I'm gonna go hunting on my own." I tell them, walking off in the opposite direction to them. I spot a fox and get ready to pounce. Just then a hear a twig snap bahind me. I turn around.
"who's there?" I ask, not because I'm scared or because I don't know but just to wind him up.
"Xander!" he shouts. "please don't kill me!"
I burst out laughing. "you think I'd kill an innocent little werewolf?" I ask.
"Oh Maddie! I thought you were someone else!" he exclaims.
"like my mum or dad? Careful their out too!" I tell him.
"I know." he says. "I had to see you one more time. You've been on my mind all day. Why did you run off?"
"I had a funeral to attend." I told him.
"Oh." was all he said.
"I can hear something! Be quite!" I tell him.
Just then a human walks out from behind a tree, zipping up their jeans as they do. Gross. Oh well, dinner time. I run forward and grab him. My teeth plunge into his neck as I start to drink his blood.
"Maddie! What are you doing?"
Xander asks.
"Dinner." I say quickly before getting back to my meal.
"I'm gonna go home now Maddie." he tells me.
"okay." I say. "goodbye."
"Goodbye." he says then turns around and walks back the way he came.
I finshed my meal and went to find my family. When I got their they where all waiting.
"What took you so long?" my impatient mother asked.
"you were hunting in like the whole Forrest! You're sent was everywhere! How do you expect me to find you quickly when their wasnt a distinct sent?" I ask.
"let's just go home!" my sister complains.
"I agree." says my dad.

As soon as we got home I went straight to bed. It had been an extremely long night and I needed the rest.
