"I thought you said you would never attack your own kind!" I shout at him.
"They're not my kind any more." he tells me. "and neither are you! Hanging out with werewolves."
Just then he jumps on me and I scream. Thanks God Xander isn't here.
If anything happens to him I don't think I could live.
I feel his fangs against my neck. I take a deep breath and await my fate.
But nothing happens. I hear a twig break behind me and then he runs off me. After that I black out.
I wake up later in someone's arms.
I look up to Xander smiling down at me.
"hi" I say sleepy.
"Good! You're awake." he says and drops me. "my arms were starting to hurt.
" how long have I been out? " I ask.
"3 days." he tells me. "his friends chased us the first day but I managed to lose them pretty quick."
"wait! You've been carrying me for 3 days? AND the hatchling had friends? That was fast." I blurt out.
"yup. The 2 hours you were away he met 4 of the most deadly vampires and since hatchlings are the most powerful vampires and very rare they couldn't help but intervene." he explains.
"oh. Okay. Well I need to go home now so..." I tell him.
"Wait! What if we run away? Away from all this madness and people telling us what we can and can't be! We could start our own life! Together." he says a bit flustered. "what do you think?"
"I'd love too! However I do need to go home to pack. You have your clothes. I need mine." I tell him before his lips smash into mine in a passionate kiss.
After a minute we stop and open our eyes.
"I'll l come with you!" he says.
"NO!" I shout. "My family will kill you!"
"I can't let you go! Not again." he whispers. "You almost died the last time."
"That wasn't your fault." I say softly. "I'll be 2 secs anyway. You won't even realise I'm gone. Okay?"
He nods,reminding me of a puppy being told off.
"don't give me that look! I don't want you to die!" I tell him before turning and running home. After 2 seconds I stop time before continuing to my house.
When I get there I run up the side and enter through the window. No need to prolong my time here. I can't stop my sister, just everyone else.
When I come in the first thing I see is my mum lying on my bed crying. My heart shatters. I hate that I'm doing this to them but I have to do what's right for me.
I quickly grab the small suitcase and start packing things into it, a set of PJs, my favourite Teddy, a few books, changes of clothes, underwear and shoes, a hat, suncream, sunglasses and a picture of my family.
Then I head over to my desk and take out a piece of paper. I write a letter to my family explaining everything. I place it in an envelope and kiss it leaving some of my red lipstick there.
I then turn around and leave.
Leave the house I grew up in and the house I will never see again.
