She comes up to me with a bag trailing behind her.
"bit much?" I ask. Her eyes flash their natural shade of red as she shrinks her bag before putting it in her pocket.
"better?" she asks me.
"A little." I reply to which I get a scowl before her lips are kissing me passionately.
"how bout now?" she asks.
"nearly there..." I say pushing my luck. I get a quick eye roll before her lips or on mine again.
"I love you." she whispers in my ear before running off.
"RACE YOU!" she shouts back.
"THAT'S NOT FARE! YOU GOT A HEAD START!" I shout after her while chasing after her in my wolf form.
"come on!" she calls back.
I let my wolf take over instantly making me speed up.
"finally" she says as I approach.
"I don't believe Xander has introduced us yet" I hear him say. "I'm his wolf, Tyler"
"Nice to meet you Tyler but right now we need to keep running. I know somewhere we can go. My parents don't know about so we'll be safe" she tells him.
"can you take us there?" he asks her.
"of course" she says blushing slightly. "this way"
We turn right and continue to run.
3 hours later we're still running. We're like this for a few more hours and I'm starting to need sleep when suddenly Maddie turns around.
"We're here" she says.
In front of me is a huge house, almost a mansion.
"welcome to the unicorn part of this island. I used to come here as a kid all the time. My parents would fight a lot. The unicorns became my friends. They gave me this land and I saved up for years to build a house here. It's nothing much but it's more of a home than my old house. " she explains.
" it's perfect" I say. I can't believe she owns a house like this. She takes my hand and together we walk in.
She pulls me along the corridor and up the stairs. We finally reach the room that she was looking for.
"This is my room." she whispers in my ear before pulling me inside.
