Party Quarrels

Hey again,

I know, two uploads in the one evening! i am just loving writing this story but i am having a bit of writers block. hopefully this chapter is a bit more eventful for all those readers waiting for a bit of action. Love you guys for reading.

After nearly four hours of playing X-Box, PlayStation 3 and Wii, I was completely exhausted. Jake was having a blast and beating me at every single game. I hadn't played much X-Box or PlayStation so he had an easy win. With Wii, I gave him a bit of trouble.

"Hey boys!" Alice called out from the front door. I heard her keys jingling and I was glad for her arrival. I was getting sick of being beaten by Jake.

"Hey Ali" I called out. I was sitting on the large lounge while Jake was playing solo on the PlayStation.

"Hey" Jake chirped. He was completely distracted by his game.

Alice walked in the room and came over to me. She sat on my lap sideways so she was looking at me.

"You look completely worn out!" she said and put her arms around my neck for support.

"That's because your brother here is obsessed with these video games. We've been playing for four hours" I moaned. Alice looked at her clock and saw the time as 1:00.

"Ha well usually I'm the one stuck with playing with him" she said and looked at him. He didn't even notice us. "Well I'm starving. I'll go get Patrice to make us some food"

"Alright cool. Jake, want anything?" I asked and stood up with Alice. He didn't even budge. I shook my head while we walked to the kitchen.

Patrice made us some chicken, lettuce and mayo sandwiches. My favourite, after egg mayo. I was sipping on a coke and Alice was drinking Sprite. We finished up and sat at the table. We thanked Patrice and I complimented her on the food.

"That was fantastic! I can't cook so you'll have to lend me your recipe book. Really, if your sandwiches taste like that I can only imagine how good the rest of the food you make tastes"

"I like this boy" she said to Alice with a smile. "Sure, I'll get a copy of a few simple dishes and get them to you via Alice"

"Thanks" I said and she walked outside to have a smoke.

"So, what do you want to do?" she asked and played with my fingers on the bench top.

"Um I don't mind just as long as it doesn't concern a video game" I said and we both laughed. "How was your catch up? Good to see the girls?"

"Yeah they're good. They were pretty interested in you though. They want to meet you. They couldn't believe that one, I had a boyfriend and two, that he is as good looking as you" she said and looked up at me.

"Why would they be surprised?"

"Well, you're my first boyfriend" she said softly.

"Really?"

"Yeah"

"Well, I feel honoured" I said and kissed the top of her head.

"Thanks. But really, the girls and the guys are dying to meet you. We should organise a get together. Or a party"

"Sounds good"

"How about tonight?" Alice asked and sat up straight to look at me. She looked so excited.
