"Hey Tony" I said as I heard the two come through the back door.

"Hi" he said a little stiffly. I mentally re-winded back to the party when he had walked out with a blank look on his face. Was he still angry about the fight at the party?

"So, what's the story?"

"Well, it looks like pretty thin wood so you just need an industrial saw to cut through it. The base may be another story though. It shouldn't be too hard" he said and dropped to the floor to survey the foundations of the bench.

"What do you think?" I asked and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Well, how about I come in tomorrow after school because I finish earlier than normal and I do this bit. You can concentrate on the door and hinges and how you want it"

"Sounds good"

"Alright" he said and stood up again. He looked to me and then back to Alice. "Glad to help. I've got to chuff because I actually have my English final in three days and I need to study up"

"Alright, I won't hold you up. Thanks for coming in" I said and shook his hand. He seemed ok and shook it firmly.

"No problem" he said and gave me a smile and looked to Alice. He gave her a quick hug and headed out the door. "See you tomorrow at school Ali, yeah?"

"Yeah. History is first period right?"

"You got it. See you Ali. See you tomorrow arvo Oliver" he said and gave us a quick salute and left.

I looked to Alice who was serving a customer who I didn't hear come in. They were laughing about something and I saw it was a guy I had seen from somewhere before. I remembered that he was at the party the other night.

I walked out to see him leaning over the counter and he was leaning on his elbows. I could see the lust in his eyes as he stared at Alice. She was obliviously putting in the order to the register and computer.

He hadn't seen me standing there and I crossed my arms. I leant on the door frame and just observed from a metre and a half away.

"So, what are you up to this weekend?" he asked in a low voice that made me clench my jaw. I didn't interrupt as I was curious to hear what she would say.

"Studying. I have HSC and I'm a bit behind" she said flatly and glanced at him before looking back at the register. He was a good looking guy with brown hair and blue eyes that were extremely dark; almost a purple colour.

"Really? Why are you behind?" he asked and shifted his position so he was closer to her.

"Because my gorgeous boyfriend is so distracting" she said and I smiled in triumph. I stood up straight and it was as if the guy snapped out of a spell as he looked over to me. He stood up and cleared his throat.

"I'm the gorgeous boyfriend by the way" I said and put my hand around Alice's waist casually. I heard her giggle quietly and I doubted he had heard it.

"Right. I can see that" he said as he looked at me with worry. Suddenly his look of worry turned into a grin and he looked to Alice who was handing him the book and receipt.

"See you at school Alice" he said seductively. He looked at me and winked. I knew he would probably make a move on her again when I wasn't there and I was annoyed. I didn't let it show and I pulled Alice closer to me.

"Why are guys so territorial?" Alice asked me later at closing time.

"What?"

"When Anthony came in earlier and he was flirting with me you were practically latching me onto you"
