I woke up to the feeling of Alice brushing my tossed hair out of my eyes. My eyes fluttered open and I looked down to see Alice giving me a small smile. I gave her a tired smile and closed my eyes again. From the lack of light in the room, I knew it was still early in the morning.
"Morning" she whispered and kissed me lightly. It was barely even a kiss; more of a brush of her lips over mine.
"Morning beautiful" I whispered. I let one eye open and looked at her with a warm smile. I kissed her nose and she smiled.
"Sorry I woke you up but I need to go to school" she said and gave me a remorseful look.
"Oh" I sighed. I rolled over and stretched letting out a loud yawn. I saw Alice quickly slip out of the bed and put my shirt over her naked body quickly. I admired her shyness and chuckled. I stood up and rubbed my face over. I picked up my discarded boxers and watched as Alice headed into the kitchen.
As she fluttered around the room getting ready, I ate some cereal and attempted to wake myself up. She was running around frantically finding her things and I went over to clean up the mess we had made in the lounge room.
When she was finally dressed in her uniform that she had brought over without me noticing, she grabbed her keys and looked at me. I gave her a smile and she jogged over to me.
"I'll see you tomorrow?" she whispered.
"Yeah. Shelves at 2:00" I asked and placed my hands on her hips.
"Definitely" she whispered and gave me a hug.
"I love you" I whispered into her neck.
"I love you too" she said and pulled me closer.
I kissed the top of her head as she walked out the door. I was still in my boxers and I blushed at last night's events. I saw the lady who had scolded us days before come out of her room and she winked at me. I was sure I turned a scarlet colour before I gave her a wave and retreated quickly back to my apartment.
At work I received a text rom Alice telling me that Tony had showed up yesterday and we weren't there. She said she apologised and I laughed at the text out loud and got a strange stare from a customer browsing.
As I locked the shop up once more, I headed down the street and saw Marcus from the party. I gave him a wave and he waved back.
"Hey Oliver, how are you man?"
"Hey Marcus. I'm good"
"So how did you and Alice pull up?" he asked and my eyes widened. He couldn't possibly know about last night.
"W-what do you mean?" I stuttered.
"Like, are you two ok from the party. She was pretty peeved"
"Oh!" I exclaimed and exhaled out loudly. "Yeah, we're doing good" I said and blushed.
"It sounds like better than good" he said with an evil grin. He nudged my shoulder playfully and I pushed him back. I liked Marcus. He was a cool guy and I knew that he was friends with Alice so it helped.
"So, what are you up to?" I asked as I turned down my street with him still following.
"Oh, you know, had to go to meet my mum after school. She works at the optometrist in the mall. She wanted me to drop some things off for her and I'm just heading home. What about you? you meeting up with her tonight?" he asked slyly. I rolled my eyes at him and shook my head.
