Kai looked at the wall facing away from Lillianna. Talon must have been smarter then he looked, and definitely a quicker thinker, because, as fast as a flash, he jumped in front of Lillianna, being much taller and bulkier then her, he hid her completely. He craned his stubby neck as far as it would reach over his brad shoulders and spoke.
“Don’t say nothing, and don’t move,” He whispered.
Kai sat up and looked around. He caught sight of Talon and his eyes narrowed as the peaceful look drained from his face.
“What are you doing, you huge baboon?” He demanded, screaming.
“I was giving the Princess water and I forgot what key to use,” Talon mumbled, placidly.
“Talon, do you see that fly?” He asked calmly, a smile plastered onto his face as he pointed to the wall.
Confused, Talon nodded.
“Well, the dust of its’ lave has a bigger IQ then you!” Kai screamed, throwing off the bed covers and marching toward the gate.
He stomped up to Talon, snatched the ring of keys out of his hand and started fumbling with them. Lillianna pressed a reshoring hand against Talons back and felt him shaking. Shocked, she realised that he feared Kai as much as he hated him, which would be why he had obeyed him for so long. But why would a giant like Talon fear a tiny ant like Kai? It made no sense. Her train of thought was broken by the sharp sound of skin hitting skin.
“It’s this key you idiot!” Kai yelled, handing Talon the key.
Talon reached out one hand and took it; his other hand holding a raw, hand shaped mark on his left cheek.  Lillianna saw only that Talon was holding his left cheek, and that Kai was shaking his right hand, but she put two and two together. Kai, shaking his hand, outraged, opened his thin mouth and yelled.
“You know what, Talon? (Insert insults here, at least three please)”
Talon just let the words wash over him, his face as still as glass. A small runt has reduced this huge man to nothing because of his words, then hit like a (idk). Anger filled her mind and clouded her judgement; this went against everything her mother had taught her, this was wrong. She took a deep breath and steadied herself, waiting for the gate to be open. Still shaking and clutching the mark, Talon opened the gate and stepped through, so scared that he forgot she was there. Luckily, Lilianna knew what was happening and stepped with him. She then gently placed her hand on his upper back. Talon slightly jumped as he remembered that she was there and new panic spread across his face. He took three counted steps away from the gate; he was about a step away from Kai. Talons face flushed pink and his shaking increased. With nowhere to go and no possible way to walk normally without Lillianna being spotted, Talon just stood there.
