“Mike?” Peter asked in disbelief.
The figure that stood before him had Mike’s razor cut, sandy blond hair, with tanned skin and blue eyes. He was built like Mike, tall and thin with some muscles but not buff. Only he was blurry, like Peter was looking at him through an unfocused camera. Mike smiled at him.
“So we’re supposed to find Destiny and Phoenix right?” Mike asked, with a huge smile.
“Y-Yeah, I… how did you know how you had to walk away to get closer to me?” Peter asked stuttering.
“I’ve been here for a while completing tasks.” He answered solemnly.
“Emerald said that you were stuck with magic, how did you get out?”
“Well, it’s confusing, but, putting it simply, my brother took my body and my soul. Then he brought it back to this place, but he used some magic to create a 3d image of normal earth where he put my body, and when you got here you found my soul.” He explained, slowly.
“R-right,” Peter nodded, feeling confused and faint.
“It’s ok, you don’t need to understand. Just follow me; we’ve got a job to do.” Mike shrugged.
“R-right,” Peter said again.
A rumbling sound filled their ears and a metallic tang filled the air. Peter’s eyes widened with fear, his body tensed and dread spread across his face, he looked over at Mike and confusion added to the fear. There was only one way to describe Mikes expression, one hundred percent done, he rolled his eyes, sighed, slumped down and shook his head.
“Brother, I am one hundred percent done with your B.S, just give me their soles and let Peter leave with them.” Mike firmly shouted at the empty air.
“B-brother, you mean Stryker? T-that’s your twin brother Stryker?” Peter asked shocked, before fainting.
A mass of thunderclouds gathered into a cluster and stayed there, still and spitting lightning.
“Brother, these…theatrics are not necessary, just talk to me!” He yelled at the clouds.
Then out of the mass walked Stryker, tall, thin and scrawny, with chalky white skin, deep ruby eyes, midnight black hair and as always he was wearing a black business suit with a red tie.
“Oh Mike, you have always been such a buzz kill, can’t you just let me have some fun? You know how I love to make an entrance.”
“Why do you have to do this? When you ran away mum and dad and Kelly looked everywhere for you, they missed you. They didn’t know where you where or why you left, why are you doing this? Why do you hate me?” Mikes face slacked, and tears started to rim his eyes.
Stryker’s face clouded over with anger and fire filled his eyes, he raised his hand and muttered something under his breath. Mikes breath caught in his chest as something unseen filled his nose and mouth.
